We came from IKEA and found this little place on accident because my son suddenly needed to go potty and my husband had JUST been talking about getting BBQ. So we stopped in.
Cute little place. Clean, restrooms were clean and seemed well kempt except for the raging cricket sounds but that can't always be helped.
Some of the food was great and some of it was so/so. I got the brisket tacos (in picture) and they were delicious! Just the right amount of spice and although they were a bit messy, I enjoyed every bite. My son ordered the kids sausage taco something or other. It was literally a link of sausage with some cheese wrapped in a tortilla. Not that I'm complaining, I'd rather it not be a bunch of fuss for a kid's menu since we have a super picky eater. He didn't touch it of course but it looked pretty good. (Also pictured).
My husband got the 2 meat plate with brisket and sausage and 2 sides. His brisket tasted a little off to be honest. Almost as though it had been frozen and then thawed and served. It was also cut the wrong way as far as the grain of the meat was concerned. It was kind of flaky-ish. It's hard to describe. But it definitely could've been better. The sausage wasn't too bad, according to him but I didn't personally taste it.
The Mac and cheese was super yummy! Kind of reminds me of that old school Luby's Mac and cheese. Super creamy and yummy. And we both got Cole slaw which was also delicious. So mad props on the sides at least!
What won me over was the customer service. They were quick to help us when we were missing my son's side of Mac and cheese. And as I was waiting at the table for my husband and son to come back from the restroom, a busser (I guess that's how you would say it??! Lol) came and put our to go plates in a bag for me. And when I asked about to-go cups for our drinks, not only did he get me cups but he also went and filled them for me. A+ in my book. Especially since we had already paid and were ready to leave.
Overall, a decent place to stop and eat and it worked out perfectly for what we wanted. Large variety of foods (forgot to capture the menu - sorry!), restrooms were clean, and the service was great, something that's certainly...
Read moreOrder frequently through Doordash service. Yesterday, I placed an order maybe an hour before closing time, it was 2 combination sandwiches, both with chopped beef and sliced beef. I order these same sandwiches almost every time and have never had a problem with my order, until placing an order almost before closing. When my sandwiches were delivered, I immediately noticed how small the bag was, it looked like it was only one sandwich in the bag, however once I opened the bag there were indeed 2 sandwiches, however they were incredibly small, on very small buns, and had only chopped beef on them. I ordered COMBINATION meats. The sliced beef was not on either sandwich. I called spoke with manager Jairo, and was brushed off quickly and he told me it was out of his hands since I ordered through Doordash. Well Doordash doesn't prepare the food, only delivers it Mr Jairo, and I'm deeply disappointed with Demeris now, because I order this same food all the time, and was spoken to like it was my fault or I didn't order the food correctly, when my receipt clearly states 2 COMBINATION sandwiches. And he also kept telling me how my sandwiches still had the same amount of meat on them had I received the sliced beef, which was pure BS! there was only a small amount of chopped beef, as if they were running low, but still tried to make the order and cheat me out of my hard earned money, and I'm willing to bet they had no slice beef left, is the reason why I never received it on my orders.
Demeris did absolutely NOTHING to make this right, and I've spent plenty of money on their food. Never again! I...
Read moreI stopped in yesterday because I had the BBQ itch for lunch and I've known that demeris BBQ has been around for years since the northwest mall days ago that had to mean something, right?
Stopped in and ordered a 14$ brisket sandwich.. which is a rip off imo because burns had the same sandwich with better quality cooking for 9$ but if you going to charge premium price for your meats the least you can do is make sure it's in the best quality and condition when serving. When I finally sat down to eat i removed my avg size sandwich w maybe five 5" slices of brisket on a cold potato bun or Hawaiian bun. The brisket was hard, semi cold and clearly reheated and reused from a previous shift. Every bite was like stuffing a thick cold wash towel down your throat. I wish idve taken pics but I took two bites and literally threw that ish in the trash. And the fries are literally grease sponges. They lack crispness and they go into the order right out the fryer; didn't seem like they let the oil strain before serving. I was extremely disappointed in this location.. but being honest when I walked in I saw the clientele and the staff and it makes sense why nobody talks about this being a go to BBQ place in my culture. Meal was a lunch disappointment and a waste of 20$ .. I could've gotten two meals and an appetizer from Applebee's hot and fresh compared to...
