Pillow cases were folded in half because the pillows were so small. More like a throw pillow vs a bed pillow.
Remote didn't work and had no back. Tried to call the front desk but the room phone, but it didn't work. So I had to go down to the front desk to get a different remote. They put batteries in my remote and taped a back from another remote to it. The remote still did not work well.
Pulled down the bedding to relax and I found all kinds of bodily fluids and fresh dried blood and blood stains all over the bedding. The blood had not been cleaned off or even an attempt to clean up. Once again, I had to go back down to the front desk. The front desk clerk was very friendly. The owner or manager was very rude and inappropriate. When I asked if they could send someone up to fix this I was told that I would have to do it myself because they didn't have any house keepers and that they had hard water so that js why the bedding didn't look clean. Keep in mind he's telling me this as he's walking away from me. I was given a set of bedding from the front desk. When I went back to my room to make my own bed. I found that I was given a queen set and not a king..for the THIRD TIME I found even more filth...that was my last straw. It looked as if nothing had gotten laundered I was so upset and frustrated at the filth of the room I was just done.
I was telling the front desk clerk how frustrated I was when the manager/owner came out and told me that I needed to stop yelling at the staff and I needed to lower my voice because others did not need to hear me. At this point he was talking louder than me. The other customers were close by so of course they will hear me. I was shocked at the way he was talking to me. When I tried to tell him about all of the trouble I had with my room he interrupted me in such a disrespectful and demeaning manor that i was horrified. He then yelled at me saying I needed to just leave the hotel. I was floored. What was I going to do? Id just gotten there and was so tired from the long trip. I went upstairs and gathered my child and belongings.
When I requested a refund the owner or manager whatever title he held, talked to me as if I was a child being scolded. He refused to listen to anything I had to say. He told that I "need to be quiet and sit down.." Seriously!? I told him that he has no right to talk to me like this. He then informed me that wasn't getting my shuttle fees back. I asked why because I hadn't used them given I had only been there for 45 minutes. Within that time I was running back and forth trying to get my room clean.
Next I was informed it would take five to seven days for my refund. It's now been five days and I have not recieved a refund. I can honestly say this was the absolute worse hotel I've ever been in. Sooooo filthy and mismanaged. You have...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my 13 year old son and 2 year old daughter. I have to start off by saying that this hotel was better than the previous Choice Hotel I stayed at. This hotel needs updates and a bunch of work to make it better and there were many things that need to be changed. Shower curtain rod was falling out of the wall, the comforter, while looked clean had a huge rip in it, the remote was missing a back so batteries were exposed (this is a safety issue with little children), cable didn’t work half the time, among other things. The main thing that concerned me was that the exit at the end of the hall near my room was destroyed. The locking mechanisms that latches the door and locks making it so you have to use your keycard to enter was missing. The door was able to be opened by anyone and everyone that went to the door whether they were a guest or not. Fortunately, nothing seems suspicious while I stayed there but when I told the front desk about the door they were shocked like they didn’t even know it was broken. Does no one in that building check the exits and make sure things are in proper working order?
My second issue was while we were lucky enough to have three towels, three wash clothes and 3 face towels when we arrived, not everyone in the hotel was as fortunate. I know that hotels only clean the room when asked, but it states on the mirror in the bathroom to ask for more supplies as needed and we did just that.
I took my kids to the pool where it specifically states that there are towels in the pool area and room towels should not be used in the pool area. When we got to the pool there were no towels there. My kids needed towels so after being told they towels were in the dryer by the front desk and it would be 30-40 minute before they were dry. Leaving me with no other option I decided to use our room towels at the pool for my kids and would get new towels in the morning.
The next morning, I went to the desk the and was once again told there are no towels because their laundry person didn’t show up yet. This is unfortunate for the hotel but guests shouldn’t be without needed supplies when booking a hotel. I had conversations with other guests who didn’t even have towels in their room when they checked in. This is unacceptable.
I will never book with this hotel, and very likely never again with Choice Hotels at all, after...
Read moreWas supposed to have a combined suite with other family we took trip with, (2 3bed queen size) Was told at check in that they couldn't accommodate it. The hotel was not packed or had many people staying there. Once we got to our room, the shower was disgusting, hair all In it, dirty. The bed comforter had stains all it and one had food crumbs. The headboards had sticky prints all over them. I had to sit and wait for cleaning people to come and clean the room while they were in there because I didn't Want to leave our belongings in the room while they re-clean and changed beds. ONLY 1 OF THE CHARGING PORTS OUT OF 6 worked. Had to charge electronics in bathroom. There was empty medicine paper between note pads next to the phones. Pool was heavily clouded because of chlorine that burned your eyes as soon as you opened the door to it. It looked like muddled pond water. LAST BUT NOT LEAST my car was severely scratched by another occupant at some point between our check in and time before we left for dinner. When I noticed the damaged I asked the front desk/manager if they had cameras to see if we could identify who it was, she told me that she couldn't access it and that the guy who could doesn't work weekends and wouldn't be back until Monday. And I could email. She didn't take down info. She didn't seem concerned or ofter any suggestions to help resolve the issue that happened on their property. She should not be face of the HOTEL EVER. She is not helpful. Showed she does not care and nothing is her problem. The next morning before check out, I was glad to to see a different manager who disclosed that she didn't infact handle my car damage correctly (and she should have called police) and that I should provide car info, and where I was parked, time frame and that they could look up the video footage and even email me footage of what happened. Unfortunately we live out of town and was leaving within hour of speaking to the new manager on shift who was helpful just to late to get the proper people accounted for. So if anything was discovered on camera there wouldn't be a way to track down the individual who stayed at the hotel after having to wait 3days. So now I'll have payout my own pockets or make insurance claim. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER. Would...
