From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we knew something was rather off...
Waitresses and staff running around in a frenzy even though the restaurant isn't even busy (maybe 4-5 parties seated max)
After we were seated, the waitress we were assigned (we'll come back to this) took our drink orders and went and go those for us. Very cordial and got it done quick.
Then, she legit just "disappeared" and never came back. We waited, trying our best to be polite and respectful and let her do her job, but we eventually had to flag her down to put in our food order.
Between food ordering, and after we never got asked "does anyone need a refill, or perhaps another drink" as stated before, she went totally MIA.
Then she has the audacity to drop off our check BEFORE our food comes out, and asks "oh hey, did I put that beer on your bill? My bad I forgot" and runs off again.
Then, about 30ish minutes later our food comes out, and my meal was nowhere to be seen. The rest of my party got their food and enjoyed it and I sat for a good while and eventually my fiancee got up and spoke to (who we presume was the manager) and said we hadn't received our entire order.
The manager disappears, and we don't see him come back for another short while and I personally go flag him down and ask about my food. Apparently my order was NEVER put in and was put in by him and he was waiting for it.
Eventually after AN HOUR AND A HALF my food shows up and my party is already mad and ready to storm out at this point.
I eat my food, and it tasted pretty good actually. The bar fries are fantastic, and the chicken is crunchy and well cooked.
We go to pay, and our waitress is absolutely MIA and my fiancee goes to the bar and hands his card and our receipt over to pay. And the bartender practically forces her to run the bill. (What, do you want us out of here at this point?)
FINALLY, we get our card back, at 2 hours and we BOOK IT out of there.
This morning, some of the members of my party (including myself) felt rather sick, which is slightly concerning...
I strongly do not recommend visiting this restaurant unless you like zero-touch service and waiting forever. Please, get your staff together and check your cleaning...
Read moreI don’t like giving negative reviews, but after this experience, it’s a must. This is my 3rd and last time ordering a To-go order from this restaurant. My first experience was fine. My second experience was not good. And not sure why I came back but it’s the only place I can walk to from work. And this was my experience today... I walked up to the hostess stand and asked if they were substituting iceberg for romaine in their salads because of the current Ecoli recall, and the (new) lady that was taking my order asked the girl by the kitchen and she confidently said yes. So I said I would have an Asian berry salad with chicken then. She got me rung up with some help from her trainer, so I sat and waited. When my salad was ready, (about 15 min later) the nice new lady asked if I needed crackers or salad dressing and I said it should already have dressing, but decided to check anyway. Then as I checked the salad, I noticed it was made with romaine and not iceberg. She apologized and asked if she could have another one made. I said don’t worry about it because I needed to get back to work so I’d just take a refund. The 4 people that were up by the hostess stand/register had no idea how to do a refund/void, so they were then trying to get the manager on the phone. As this was happening, the chef came out and told me that the romaine was from California and not affected by the recall. I told him thank you, but I specifically asked for iceberg when I ordered. He said , “oh” and walked back to the kitchen. The manager had finally been found and was then trying to make the refund with the 4 other people standing around the register. While they were STILL trying to figure it out, another person came from the kitchen and brought me another salad. I told her thank you but they were trying to get me a refund. She said to take it anyway for the trouble. I thanked her. As they were still trying to work the register, I told them all that I had to get back to work and to not worry about it any longer... I was a little nervous to eat the salad that I received since it only took a few minutes to make compared to the first one. I’ve...
Read moreI ate at The Marker for lack of options. I stayed at the Wyndham Indy West, which itself is like being in a prison. Inside, it's a trip to the 70's and ski lodge wood paneling, except for the neon orange rug which is apparently new (they renovated? oops better ask for a refund). As I enter I am greeted by... nobody. I approach the woman who is running the pasta station, she doesn't speak english but she calls a waitress who comes over and asks: Have you been seated?" Duh, I'm alone in an empty restaurant, of course not. Long story short, I order my pasta, sit down, and 10 minutes later a waitress comes over and says "I think your pasta is ready". "Oh, thanks" I say, thinking to myself 'why didn't she bring the pasta if it's ready'. I go to the station and at that point the cook dumps it from the pan... a soggy mess of overcooked pasta. Cost me $17 for lunch and that's what I got... self-service nasty overcooked mush, chef Boyardee would have been...
