We initially planned to stay from 3.16.24-3.18.24; however, after realizing how poorly cleaned the room was we needed to modify our plan. Additionally, we saw/killed 11 roaches during our stay (please see the footage attached to this review.) The toilet was not cleaned thoroughly, the microwave was broken in several areas, the top of the sink shelf was filthy, & there is a hole that we suspect was the entry for some of the roaches. That's not the crux of the series of events that took place during our stay; please read on to see the other turn-offs about this place. At about 11pm on 3.15.24 I called the corporate help desk to check out the next morning. By then we’d decided that we needed to leave. Yet I had driven all day & was the only adult driver with 4 kids. I was told to go to the front desk the next morning to get a refund for the night that I would not use. The front desk was supposed to be open at 10a; I got there at 10.40a & waited 9 minutes staff to come from another area. A housekeeper assured me that someone was coming. So, I returned to the room (122) to do one last walk-through. When my daughter & I got back to the front desk Sandea had her back to us. She turned around, stared at us, & said, “what.” Her “greeting”, demeanor, facial expressions, etc. set the (negative) tone for the next series of exchanges that lasted 22 minutes (I had a timer running on my cell). I asked her how she was doing, in response she said "Good, can I help you?" I let her know that due to the experience we had the previous night, we decided to check out early (again, originally we were going to stay for 2 nights & had already paid in full at check-in). When I told her that we were in room 122 she insisted that we were NOT in that room the previous night. Sandea claimed that #122 was a part of a group reservation. I added that we (my minor daughter & I) just came from the room & it was indeed #122. She started getting herself worked up as she used the edge of a room key to forcefully check the room number via a digital device. That exchange over our room number lasted a minute too long! She explained to us that she can't do the refund & that I would have to wait until Monday for her manager to arrive, & that it would be decided by said manager whether we would get said refund. In return I asked if her manager could be contacted while I waited at the desk. Sandea claimed that the manager was at church. A few minutes later Sandea got the manager on the phone. The manager walked her through the steps, & THEN she was able to do the refund. Retrospectively, I asked whether we are indeed referring to a reservation for #122; she did confirm that we WERE in #122. Earlier in the conversation we asked for a printed receipt which was given to us with an annoyed attitude. She printed the paper & slammed it on the counter. Now that the room rate was refunded, I asked for a new receipt that showed it being processed, she claimed “It doesn’t show that on there”. She started calling someone on the phone & walked to the back. By the way, she made several trips to the back to talk about us, how she “don't like working on Saturdays”, other complaints about her job, referring to me as “room 122” and/or “this lady”, breathing loudly, stomping around, calling folks on her cell phone, etc. The way the office is set up leaves no room for privacy! We could hear her say “This is why I don’t work Saturdays.” several times & when I or my daughter asked questions she would drop and/or shake her head, mumble, give long pauses. Again, we waited for her to print the new receipt; she paused, started to rub her eyes and sigh as if we were stressing her out. She finally printed it (set it on the counter as she cheerfully addressed other guests; even excitedly referred to a guest who was waiting to speak with her as “baby daddy”); surprisingly it showed where the room was refunded. When she laid the new receipt down she did not say thanks, good day, & definitely didn't wait to see whether I had other matters; yet immediately engaged with the...
Read moreI wish I could rate it with negative stars because even 1 star is being beyond generous. The worst hotel I've ever been to in my life but it seems like you're hard pressed to find a good Extended Stay. Cockroaches everywhere, I had to buy all my own cleaning supplies to clean my room, doors to the building are broken and anyone can walk in, the women at the front desk are so rude, we got a random charge for no reason in the middle of the night, the internet we paid extra for doesn't work at all, they refused to give me another pillow, litter and beer cans everywhere in the parking lot, they never brought MY linen back after I took it to the front to get clean, nobody ever came to spray the room for ALL OF THE COCKROACHES as they promised. I cant even lay in bed this morning. It's like 7am and I just got up to write this review because I dont want to lay there watching cockroaches crawling on the wall next to my head. I'm afraid to even have any food or cook in the kitchen area.
I have never in my life. I've already filed a formal complaint and I'm waiting to hear back from corporate. I don't know how this place is not shut down. The whole area has homeless, crack heads, trash from dumping (the woods look like a scene from The Hills Have Eyes), abandoned over grown street. Lol it's literally the worst hotel I've ever seen or been to. I would never have picked it in the first place if I didnt need a monthly stay but almost 3000 a month (like 800 a week) for this is a waste and honestly immoral. We're checking out in a week instead of a month because I'm not giving a cent more of my money towards sleeping with cockroaches. When I cleaned the floors and counters myself, you should have seen how black dirty the water was. I wish I would have thought about taking pictures at the time. I should have just gotten an air bnb to begin with. Even the people on the reservation line were so flabbergasted to hear my experience here. This place needs shut down.
They can pro rate me for leaving all they want but I am prioritizing my safety and health. As soon as I get my call back from corporate, I'm gonna have all that refunded anyway, you believe me. Insane. People who need a place to go should not be forced into places like this. Take care of people and take care of your property and quit having such a bad attitude (or like get a different job?). It's not that hard. Ridiculous. I can't believe I have no choice but to be here for a few more days still. Thoughts and prayers, ya'll. Save yourself the trouble and just don't do it. If you need a longer stay for a cheaper price, give yourself more time and research. Furnished finder, cozy cozy, air bnb, even facebook is better. Stay away if you care about your...
Read moreWhere should I start?! We checked around 9:00pm and we were assigned room 224. When we arrived in the room, we noticed the degree of filth that was present in the room. The tub and the bathroom sink had a ring of dirt; the bottom of the toilet was scratched and/or rusted and under the rim it looked disgusting. As soon as we turned on the light in the room, two roaches started running away from us. The space between the kitchen sink and the refrigerator had sticky old dirt (there were dead roaches stuck to it). The entire room is in a huge need of a good vacuuming and scrubbing. The woman that checked us in was so not customer oriented. Due to our level of tiredness, we decided to just go to sleep and not go back downstairs to ask for a room change. We were happy that we brought slippers to shower and walk in around the room. The second night of our 4-night stay, we came to a room with a large family of roaches that had decided to have a reunion in our room due to plenty of old food lying around. Keep in mind that we had no food in the room the first night and whatever we brought in the subsequent nights, we kept in the fridge for protection. We managed to exterminate all roaches for that night and went to bed. My husband noticed some other ones throughout the night around the window and on the ceiling. By the way, I have videos of everything. The third night, I came prepared with bug spray and we sprayed everything and everywhere around the room. The fourth night, we were able to sleep bug-free, but not without noise from people outside that were drinking and talking loudly. I sent an email to customer service on Tuesday night, when we discovered the roaches and I’m still waiting for someone to call me and talk to me about it. We’ve stayed at other hotels from ESA, but none of them was as awful as this one. We travel for work and we prefer spending a bit more to stay more comfortably and I thought that was going to be the case with this stay. We couldn’t have been more wrong! We could have stayed at about 10 other hotels in the area, some a lot less expensive, but we made this regrettable choice. Thank you for taking the time to read this review and I really hope it’ll help someone who’s thinking of...
