The parking lot has been improved (thank you). The reserved parking spaces leave very few for people ordering to dine-in or for carry out and they are some of the crappiest spaces. There is one handicapped space and a few spaces on the side closest to the door, but always obstructed by vehicles in the very busy drive-through. So, you have to wait in the drive-thru line to be able to park in one of these spaces, and then once you have your food you have to wait for someone to be nice enough to let you out before you can exit. Just don't be in a rush. There's another space for walk-in business next to a shipping container on the other side of the drive though, and if you miss it, there's probably a car right behind you so keep on going where you will find zero additional spots for going inside. And if you are following the signs and rules, this means you get to return to the business by first exiting onto Dunn Ave., doing a u-turn back onto Dunn Ave. heading east, then a u-turn back onto Dunn Ave. heading west (at Harts Rd.) and only then can you turn back into the parking lot and get into the drive-through lane to hopefully get one of the few spots going inside. It's really a whole production. Parking here will trigger even those with patience.
Honestly, they really have the drive-through tuned in here and I think this is where they are smart to focus and customers are smart to visit. I would recommend drive-through even if you think ordering inside will be faster. From my experience, ordering inside can take 10-15 minutes just to get acknowledged at the register to order. They have only one person taking care of taking orders (including phone orders), getting drinks and expediting food (including DoorDash, etc). It's too much for one person. Staff here have always been friendly (except the guy that asked me to move my car while we were waiting for a carry out order as it was so busy I couldn't back up to get in the only spot by the dumpster, so I took one of many drive through spots that were open) and busy working, so it's not like most businesses along Dunn Ave. Again, their priority is clearly drive-through business. If you order online, beware the prices are dramatically higher no matter which app you use. I've used 30% off and BOGO free coupons and it's always cheaper to order by calling or visiting directly.
Call to order in advance to get menu prices for carry out. Calling may be the second best way to order here after drive-through, but know the same person handling orders inside is also the one having to answer the phone, so there's probably a customer standing there waiting giving some stink-eye to you.
Just be careful parking where you shouldn't. I get it, but I just wanted to order some food and there was literally one parking spot I couldn't back up for because there were cars immediately behind me. For some reason getting scolded for parking left a bad taste in my mouth, so again, use the drive-through. Then you will receive a reserved space while you wait. This is a busy restaurant, so just be prepared for the chaos. 😁
Oh, they have specials for some menu items that are the same price as the menu items alone, but include a drink. I have trouble finding these specials on the menu board, but they do always seem to ask if you want the special with the free drink. Maybe I'm missing a sign somewhere. The 20 piece whole wings, that comes with fries, is a favorite meal deal for us, but we also like the 30 piece shrimp and a variety of the fried menu items that come in a regular size and a larger size (I didn't say small and large, because the smaller sizes are still good portions). I'm glad they are close to home for me and also glad that they have stadium lighting, so no...
Read moreI will be fair and honest in this review. I had your lunch #3, which was gizzards and wings. Although I read several of your reviews, I can agree with some of them and disagree with others.
But in my honest opinion, these were the best fried gizzards and wings I’ve ever had!!!! The portion was huge on my plate. I couldn’t even finish everything. So for the food, I honestly give you a “5-Star” review.
The reason I gave this establishment a 2-Star review, is for the awful cleanliness of this restaurant. Quite frankly, both outside appearance, and the inside of this establishment are filthy and unpleasant.
The building is quite old and is desperately crying out for a complete renovation. As I waited for my food to come out, I sat down in one of the tables, and as you can see in the pictures that I am adding with this review, the tables were old & disgusting.
The walls have been painted over and over to cover up whatever old mildew residue was left maybe not by these owners, but passed. I guess they try to clean the inside using strong odor deterrence liquids. (Maybe pine oil or Fabuloso) IDK 🤷🏻♂️. But it’s very unpleasant to be eating inside this establishment and at the same time smelling those chemicals.
To management: Please address these issues regarding the cleanliness of your restaurant although during my stay, you had a lot of customers come in… I noticed that it was only me and another person that actually stayed eating inside your establishment, all the rest, just ordered to go.
It’s a shame, because if not for the cleanliness of your restaurant, and the way it smelled inside I would definitely come back ! Your food is great but the place where you are...
Read moreTonight was my first and last time coming here. I only went there to get some banana pudding because I saw on their doordash that they sell banana pudding and I've been wanting some. I went through the drive thru to order and got 2 of them and then shortly after receiving them, I looked at them in the bag. I noticed I didn't see any bananas coming out the side like the picture shows so I opened one of them and flipped through it with the spoon they gave me and there were no bananas. I looked at the container and it even said "ingredients: bananas..." that's why I was confused and used my spoon to flick through it. I immediately turned around and went in the store. These Arabian men were speaking in their language and then comes back to me and says "it doesn't come with bananas" but that's not even what the container says. I asked for a refund. They tell me they can only refund one cause I "ate" the other one. Mind you, I wasn't even out the drive through for a good 10 minutes. They refused to give me a full refund. The cashier acted like he was high, laughing at the situation but obviously he's just young and childish. So, he gives me 3 dollars back with some change although I paid $8.66 for 2 banana puddings. So I was asking for a full refund, he said no since I "ate" the first one. To keep down conflict, I asked for the first one back, which he had already put under the counter. He gave it back and I walked out. These are scammers and this is false advertisement. Instead of admitting their wrongs and giving me back the money since they lied about the product, they kept my money in turn for something I...
