Fuji Buffet — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I visit this place often I regularly invite my coworkers who has never visited the restaurant. Over the years I have invited numerous of people to come to the restaurant. This particular day I brought two of my administrators to have lunch, the price was $12.99 for the lunch buffet, so he as being the owner told her to grab a can soda. I ask him was the soda included, I said because she need to know whether she wants to pay for it or not. He started saying oh what are you talking about, he would never answer the question. When he totaled her bill it went from $12.99 to $16.95. I ask him how does it go from $12.99 to $16.95 He really got angry and said why are asking, oh shout up, you always asking and doing this, I said who are you talking to like that, I said you will not talk to me that way. He said are you going to eat here are not? or you can leave. All three of us said no and walked out. He was so disrespectful and he is cheating people out of their money and he has done the same thing when you order take out and he charges by the pound. I will never, ever go back there again and will let everyone know how he is checking people. I was so embarrassed how he treated me and that he thought he could talked to me that way, as a repeated customer. Please do not patronize this man. First let me start by saying to advertise being a sushi buffet is a travesty!! I took my family to Fuji buffet after finding pictures of actual sushi. This was not the case. If you want a California roll or seaweed salad this is your spot. If you wanted Tuna, salmon or and other uncooked sushi fish Do Not Waste your time. This buffet is your typical China buffet. They have about 4 islands of buffet food like chicken, beef, cooked fish. My go to at these types of places is always the fake crab meat cheese bake which was good and the coconut shrimp which was also good. They have paper plates and plastic forks. Very little ice cream and garbage cans near the tables so you can dispose of your used plates. If you check all my reviews you'll see I tip 20% normally. With the high price per person and no sushi 😕 plus having to eat off paper plates and dispose of your own trash I didn't see a need to tip. It's very misleading to claim to have sushi then not have it. Also, these types of places usually have crab legs or choice meats or even hibachi available. This place did not. Sadly I won't be back to Fuji...

I've not ever been totally dissatisfied with a Chinese buffet until now!! We had to pay before even eating, a first for us!! Probably because people argued not to pay their bill after eating!!! Food was not hot, other than the soup which we needed to eat to get warmed up!! It was so cold in there!!! Hot & sour soup was neither spicy hot not sour 😖very watered down! Food selection was very limited, it wasn't hot, not much flavor.. tasted like sauce out of a bottle watered down, sushi was tasteless. Never went out to a sit down buffet and have to use paper n Styrofoam plates, plastic fork, spoon n knife!!!!!! Waitress never asked us if we wanted water or soda refill, didn't even ask if we were doing ok!! Not a smile, nothing!
