The only reason I am leaving a star at all is because the site requires it! No joke. I am a fairly easy person to get along with but to say our week in this hotel was a nightmare is an understatement. We arrived the first day and our a/c wasn't working properly. We told them we need a 1st floor room as we have 2 children with disabilities at check in. When I went to the front desk to speak to them about the a/c I was given 2 options. Move to another double room on the 3rd floor or pay an additional $181 (cash or check only of course) to get a bigger room on the 1st floor. We didn't know until we had reluctantly agreed to the bigger room that there was only ONE bed - for 4 of us. The manager says but the love seat makes a bed. Um ok. so we check in to the bigger room and the first thing we notice is the security pad on the door was held on by SCOTCH tape! These rooms were just gross. The carpets are filthy. There are no bathtubs just shower stalls and I am not even kidding the bathroom in my camper is bigger than the ones in this hotel. If you don't like small spaces do NOT stay here. We pulled the hide away bed out and it had dirty sheets on it. Also the toilet in our mini bathroom was backed up. So I went to the front desk. The owner was working and asked how I knew they were dirty. Well when we pulled it open a pair of headphones came flying out when we pulled the top sheet back. Good sign. I was handed a set of sheets and a toilet plunger!!!!! 2nd morning housekeeping just walked in without knocking. I was completely undressed. We asked her to come back in 30 minutes. When we came back that night the room had not been touched. I went to the front desk and was told there was a do not disturb on the door. That was not true. The room was not properly cleaned all week until the last day we were there (Friday). The pool was disgusting. The water kind of clung to you it was so dirty and there was stuff floating. We looked in the cleaning traps and they were black with dead bugs and trash. We quickly got out of the pool and never went back. As we were drying off we realized that the front desk clerk and 2 of the people that LIVE in the hotel had 3 chairs in a circle around the door so the clerk could see the desk and they were all smoking. We had to walk through a cloud of smoke to get into the hotel. One of the things we noticed is they were dumping their ashes on the deck and the breeze was blowing them right into the pool. The stay in this hotel was ATROCIOUS and for what we paid after being price gouged another $181 on top of what we had already paid we could have stayed in a VERY nice room. AVOID THIS HOTEL! If it had not been a holiday week we definitely would have left and found...
Read moreSo,first off let me say, that this was the first time I stayed in Jasper. I should of paid to stay at Fairfield or an air bnb. I will post a video along with this review on how the security side door you can just walk in. On top of that being a female, and on the road, having a lack of security is a no no! The room had a funny, musty smell. On the website, it says room service, which I guess just means they do Housekeeping because there was no room service! When I first checked in.I was hesitant but we were tired after a long day and had already placed the reservation online. We couldn't use the pool or even sit in the area because of the amount of people that were already outside drinking several cases of beer. So we ended up sitting out by our vehicle. It also. Says on the website continental breakfast, which basically all you get is some toast. Some pastries and waffles are the only hot item and I think maybe the oatmeal. It's basically more of a grab and go Kind of thing! Also I will post a picture of my lock. There was no upper latch for the lock because it looked like it had been broken into. So, as far as the side door being able just to walk in without a key card is bad enough. It was dirty in the hallway. It had a bag of something sitting behind the door. Overall, I wouldn't give this place any stars. But the one good thing they had, comfy pillows.... the bed was very springy, and it sits low to the ground, the carpet was filthy, the computer desk chair that was in the room had stains on it,and I do not want to know what kind of stains! It was awful! We ended up waking up and checking out at 7 AM.We could barely sleep because of the people above us were running all night on the floor above us! There is no barrier to stop that from happening if your on first or second floors. They must have a lack of staffing as well.Because the woman who checked me in was the same one checking us out. I think the best thing about the hotel was the location. It was in an area where there are food places. There is a bar-and-grill next door so I gave the location more of a rating. Other than that, I was happy to get out of there. I do a lot of reviews for a lot of places, i have over three million views on my photos, i will continue giving my honest feedback and be transparent to other consumers. It is sad that places such as this, super 8 by Wyndham get such a negative review. People can do so much better, but just stop trying!...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel for a few days while working out of town. The first night I was there I noticed several stains under the sheet, and after I pulled the top sheet off, I noticed several fresh blood stains on the mattress protector. Obviously disgusted, I went to the front desk to find a solution. It was midnight at this point and I was traveling with a co-worker so we decided to try to find a way to fix this. I spoke with a man at the front desk and he told me he would come up and change all the linens out. When he came up to our room, he stated that he didn't know why Americans do this stuff insinuating we somehow managed to put the blood stains on the mattress topper without staining the top sheet. At this point he pulled the mattress topper off to reveal a second mattress topper that also had some blood staining that must have soaked through. He looked at me and said "is this one ok?" I told him sleeping on someones dried blood was beyond my comfort level. We are Wyndham Diamond members and travel often, so we reached out to them and they stated that it is a private hotel in the Wyndham network. Super 8 was contacted and their solution was to credit us two nights free the following week as we were returning to finish the job we started the previous week. When we returned today to claim and use our two nights, and the owner of the hotel stated that he was present during the call with Wyndham and only agreed to provide one night for free. Essentially saying we were lying about our two night free solution that was agreed upon last week. I am shocked that after this entire experience, that this owner Patel would do this. We are here for three more days and will be switching hotels for the remainder of our stay. Below are pictures of the blood stains and what appeared to me to be mouse feces that was between the mattress topper and top sheet, as well as a yellow stain that could easily be removed if the mattress topper was...
