Jane helped us pick out our furniture. She was great, not pushy, and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. If she didn't know the answer she would go out of her way to find out. I would give her 5 stars. The only downfall was some of their stuff takes 6 months to come in, but we understand this is beyond their control. I am giving 1 star for the delivery experience. We were told they would be delivering on Thursday. Instead they showed up today, Wednesday, mid morning. We were not prepared at all. We saved and sacrificed for a long time to be able to buy new furniture. I had moved out half of our old furniture yesterday. I was doing some spring cleaning and painting before the arrival of the furniture tomorrow so everyhing would be perfect. A white unmarked van showed up in my driveway. Two boys got out, and came to the door. I cracked the door open. They told me they were here to deliver a couch and loveseat. I told them we were told delivery was Thursday and I was not ready to have the furniture brought in. One said they aren't working tomorrow and would have to bring it next week. We will not be here next week, and I had already moved half of my furniture out. I understand that people make mistakes and things can get miscomminucated, but an apology and commitment to deliver on the day we were told would have been appropriate customer service. I wasn't sure what to do so I let them bring it inside. It was raining outside. They came in my house with wet shoes and no booties. I recently bought a new couch from Casual Home, and I couldn’t be more pleased with how everything went. The staff was super welcoming, friendly, and even joked around with me, which made the whole process so much more enjoyable. They were helpful without being pushy to 'hurry up and make a sale', which I really appreciated.
I first came in just browsing, and then returned with my significant other after spotting a couch I liked at another store. Not only did they order it for me, but they also found out they had one in stock, so I got it even faster. They matched a lower price I found elsewhere, covered my sales tax, and even gave me a credit toward a future purchase. The service was truly above and beyond.
When I picked up the couch, the process was smooth, and it came brand new in the box. They gave me clear instructions on how to put it together and even provided their phone number in case I had any questions later on. They also explained the protection plan, but without making me feel pressured to buy it which was a pleasant change. After finding out what I was looking for she directed me in a few places but was not putting on a 'hard sell' which I really appreciated. She made herself available for questions but didn't hover. It was a very easy shopping experience and I was able to find exactly what I needed quickly. Update - It has been 11 1/2 weeks since the order and only have 2 of the 4 pieces that I ordered. Nobody has been able to even give me a rough estimate on when the remaining items will be here. Absolutely no guess. I stopped in over the weekend (at 11 weeks after the order) and said one of the pieces may be in on Tuesday's shipment. I guess it wasn't on the shipment, as I have not heard from them. I NEVER would have ordered this item if I had known it would be over 3 months to receive half of it. They can't get an answer from Ashley furniture, even though Ashley said in an email to me that they should be able to contact the Ashley Customer Relations Manager to get order status.
