cooked right away, short wait. We ordered 2 entrees and 3 appetizers. Hot and ready in ten minutes. Buffet is closed until further notice. Cash or check only, no electronic means of payment accepted. However, Takeout dishes are worth trying. House special chow mein and general Tso chicken recommended. The dumplings are well prepared and the crab Rangoon hot and crispy. Overall food is still very good, they didn't have some ingredients for a dish I wanted initially but they were honest and helpful to find other dishes without being pushy.
Place still looks like it needs renovations though, it might (or may not) open the buffet again. Who knows? It used to be very competitively priced.
Window curtains were drawn together at 1pm. Its a little too dark in the eating area not sure if other people want to sit in to eat I wasn't inclined to do so. In the past, The window treatments used to allow more sun in but they were drawn closed today.
Overall, I still like going here it's been one of my first choices for this city with good locally made takeout Chinese food (20 years running give or take a...

Food is great, prices are VERY reasonable considering the state of our country right now. The lady up front is super nice and sweet. Came in without cash by accident, they let me off the hook and we paid the next day. Can't ask for a better hometown treatment than that. Hopefully they build a bank here soon for me to withdraw from without crazy fees. LOL
Don't let the looks deceive you, it's tucked away, not a pretty interior, but that shouldn't matter when you are grabbing lunch from a great spot with friendly faces.

Read moreWhen we walked in, the food was cold and obviously several hours old. We salvaged what we could from that, and when she brought out fresh food, she yelled at us for having the audacity to get a second plate and leave some items from our first round uneaten--they were disgusting. The Pepsi tasted flat and the Sierra Mist was out. The owner is rude and shady; she's not running a buffet as she wants dictate what her patrons are allowed to take. Her behavior was detestable. We will not be back. The Great Wall is far superior, as is every other Chinese...
