Rooms 116 & 118 smelled horribly of mold
The bathtub is extremely slippery & floor is an unexpected 6"(?) lower than tub when you step out. I slipped & nearly fell when I got out, injuring my back. I spoke to the Front Desk Person (Sam) who kept interrupting me even though I kept asking him to listen. He yelled at our very sweet & excellent housekeeper for not providing a towel that sits outside of tub. She had provided that...which proves he wasn't hearing that the tub floor was excessively slippery. He told me to ask for handicapped next time...I am not handicapped!!! I didn't pursue anything with my back, and won't.
Sam NEVER sat at the front desk. They live behind the cafe. People had to ring bell for service, then he'd help them & the majority of the time, return to his apartment without helping do anything. It seemed that the only time he left his apt was to talk to staff or answer the bell.
Cafe was horribly dirty & not cleaned during and after every breakfast. In fact, the garbage can lid was disgusting during our entire Fri-Mon stay! They didn't clean it once!!! This was after we pointed it out to Sam at least twice. We had to tell them 2 times to empty that bin, before they did it, people were forced to place garbage on counter.
The sausage & eggs were NOT hot & moments after you sat down, they were cold. I ate the eggs but was too scared to eat the sausage. The egg/sausage steamer water was disgusting!! It's clearly not been cleaned for a long time.
The pancake maker didn't have supplies. On Saturday, he said it should have been delivered 2 days earlier. Still not there on Monday.
The first day they were out of plates and it took them several minutes to find any.
The last day, they'd run out of bagels. Our options were: toast with only PB, grape, orange marmelade, mini muffins, yogurt, cold eggs, and cold sausage. Once I asked his wife to clean off our table, she did...but left 2 other tables dirty. This was after breakfast was over. Hours later, still nothing was cleaned. The counters for breakfast & coffee were dirty all day & evening. They did a good job keeping the coffee pots filled.
There were no towels in the pool once & only a few the2nd time. There are only 4 chairs, a small table, & 1-2 long chairs in pool. 1st time at pool, it wasn't heated & whirlpool was scalding. The next time both temps were ok.
Rooms & halls were very clean thanks to housekeepers. Ours was Nora(?) & she appeared handicapped but worked constantly and did a great job!! Linda substitute at the front desk when we checked out. She was dedicated, apologetic, professional, and kind.
Sam smiled at us when we arrived, but (I believe it was) after my near fall, he quit acknowledging us.
Will not come here again! We stay at Americinn often, never have been at this horrible of one!!! It was like they did the minimum effort and purchased cheapest food, etc. Sam had a horrible work ethic, but everyone liked him.
116 Door would catch & was extremely hard to...
Read moreI stayed here for 4 nights after a long trip from Texas. When I first checked in the lady working the front was super sweet. Then I saw the room and was shocked how updated everything was and how big the space was, for $115 a night (partially over a busy weekend) it wasn't bad. Then on my second day things went downhill a bit. Randomly at 3 in the afternoon as I was about to head out for a few hours. The two cleaning ladies barged in my room without knocking and i went to the door and stood in front of them saying I didn't need services and one of the ladies just walked around me and looked around the room saying "machine machine"...she didn't speak fluent English and was hard to understand but she was looking around like she was determined to find something i did wrong. I asked what she meant by "machine" but she shrugged me off and walked out and looked angry. Then I went downstairs and asked the man up front why they barged in and looked around my room to which he said "they are just trying to clean your room sir" I told him it wasn't to clean my room. They didn't knock and barged in looking at my stuff. They didn't once try to change out the trash or my towels. They didn't even look in that direction. They barged in and yelled machine. He said he would talk to them and apologized and I never got a full explanation. Later that day tho I did hear a faint ring sound near the electrical outlets. It could of been what they were looking for. Maybe they thought a "machine" I had made that noise but the way they barged in without even knocking was unprofessional and unnecessary. I also had to deal with this ring noise on and off throughout my entire stay. When I checked out they had a repairman outside working on something so maybe it got fixed. Who knows. The room was mostly clean but I did find some dust behind the TVs. These hotels always forget the cracks and crevices. Everything worked. You have to ask for fresh towels and sheets tho. Conveniently located across a small Walmart and next door to a McDonald's.. breakfast smelt good but never tried it. Pool and hot tub were popular. It does have one washer and dryer as well. Overall I would probably return but they definitely need to train their staff to be a little more respectful of someone's privacy and atleast knock or ask if they can come in to look at whatever they needed to look at. I would of...
Read moreRecently updated everything in this hotel. The rooms are impeccably clean, comfortable bed, and great shower heads. Every where you walk in the hotel is spotless. Fresh coffee and tea bar 24/7 for those coffee addicts like me. The breakfast, which is one of my favorite parts about staying at AmericInn hotels, is hampered down to a bag breakfast due to the pandemic. This is expected as of now for any travelers, and if you complain about it, there's a special little place in h* for people like you. I had two deliciously soft blueberry muffins, Tropicana orange juice, and fresh fruit (along with the coffee bar) for grab and go breakfast. I also so a couple packs of oatmeal around the coffee and tea bar. It was a perfect get your day going breakfast. Nothing to complain about at all, and was very much appreciated. Very kind and genuine staff. The pool and hot tub area were also clean and tidy. The pool and hot tub were also perfect temps. The pool just slightly on the cooler side and the hot tub wasn't so hot you couldn't stand sitting in there longer than 10 mins, but was just right, very hot, but not scalding. There was very little chemical smells in the pool area, even when sitting in the hot tub. They also have a nice outside sitting area on a deck, which was a pleasure to sit at and drink your morning cup of coffee or tea and enjoy your perfectly adequate grab and go breakfast. Can't wait until we can enjoy the full AmericInn breakfast again, but until then, thanks for offering amazing facilities...
