I checked in earlier and unfortunately, a couple was having booking issues that they were very confused about. The poor receptionist was very flustered and I'm sure she had been going through a lot today. After about 20 minutes, my mom stepped in and politely asked for the receptionist to help us and another woman who had been waiting since the issue seemed to be taking a long time. I have a chronic illness, so I was incredibly ill and really needed to get to a room to lie down, so I really appreciated when my mom spoke up. After helping the other waiting woman, the receptionist ignored my mom and continued helping with the issue that the couple was having (it seemed to be something the couple probably did wrong on accident). My mom had already stated that she had somewhere to be (and was already late for), but the receptionist acted more rudley towards her and only helped after she mentioned me being ill. The receptionist acted more kindly to the couple who were borderline attacking her, and I completely understand how difficult it is to deal with some obstacles, but that shouldn't affect service to guests that act kindly and with understanding. Despite everything that happened and feeling like I was going to collapse, I still wished the receptionist and the couple a nice day. It would be nice if the hotel had a better system for weird issues with bookings and knew how to prioritize certain guest experiences. Things like this can be fixed easily with proper staffing and systems in place. I will not base my whole rating of this hotel on that one experience, but that experience is certainly something I've never had to come across before. Just know that check in can take any length of time, depending on who checks in first. (P.s. 2 hours later, and the couple is still in the lobby working on the issue) A couple of things about the rooms: The beds seem fine and the room seems clean. It is impossible to close the blackout curtains, and they are only present for decoration. The AC unit tells you to use a wall thermostat to change it, but the wall thermostat doesn't really do anything either. I set it in the off position after waiting for things to get warmer, and it is stoll blowing. It was set to 61 degrees when we arrived, which is far too cold for someone with circulation problems. There is also only one full sized bathroom towel for a room with 2 queen beds, and 2 occupants on the booking. There is also absolutely no soap in the bathroom either, or shampoo or conditioner. No coffee cups with the coffee machine. And the window is very dirty. We could go down to the desk and ask for more things, but you shouldn't have to do that just to get the basic amenities that were meant to be provided...
Read moreI can't give this location one single star! I only gave it a star because it was the only way it would allow me to post my review. It was so filthy. I was so traumatized by the stay that I didn't even want to bring my luggage back into my own home when I left there. I sprayed it down and left it by the door. There was fecal matter on the shower curtain, stains on the sheets and walls, the chair looked like they found it in the trash, one towel smelled so bad we had to throw it out of the room, there was a used bath towel hanging on the back of the door when we first entered the room, the tub was so nasty we bought a shower mat to stand on, the water was black when it first came on, and when I got out of the shower to dry off, the bath towel I went to use had pieces of false eyelashes stuck in it. My sisters and I were unable to rest. We spent most of our time spraying Lysol and alcohol (I keep it in a spray bottle) and wiping everything down with disinfectant wipes. We complained at the front desk. We requested to have our room serviced. When we returned from our event, the room had NOT been cleaned at all. The beds were unmade, there we no new clean towels, and the guy at the front desk (who was still wearing the same clothes from the day before...I tell you no lies) tried to act like he didn't realize the room had not been cleaned because he told his staff to clean it. The free breakfast is a joke! (Who has coffee and no cream?) There was a young lady sitting in the floor in front of our room for hours, and when I told the guy with the same clothes on from the day before about it, he cut me off and said that he already knew about it an then continued chatting with his friends. He was not behind the front desk when I was telling him about the girl. He was standing outside in the front of the building chatting with his friends. It was a traumatic experience. I came home and cleaned my house! The level of filth and unprofessionalism of the staff was unbelievable. Don't waste your money, and most certainly do not risk your health trying to stay here... unless of course you like filth and...

It’s truly a shame what has happened to this hotel. In July, after discovering cracking in the window frames and other concerning issues with their AC units, the managers made the decision to close the property until it could be properly assessed. Come to find out, there was a serious mold problem and the cracking we’d see in the window frames and walls were due to roof leaks and water getting in the windows causing water damage.
They assured us that once the remediation and reconstruction process took place, that they would love to have us return to the property and that it should only take a few months.
Imagine my surprise when I’m driving down Huffmeister and see cars in the parking lot. When I stopped by, I was told that Brandon, Katie and the rest of the wonderful staff were no longer working there!!! The young girl at the desk told me that they had all been fired and that the hotel was now under new management. When I inquired about what happened with the staff, I was told that they had all been let go. When I asked about upgrades and construction, She said that they gotten rid of the mold and put in all new TV’s, mattresses, furniture, and AC units. Yet, when I asked to see a room, I was told I couldn’t. …. Because that’s not sketchy.
I went ahead and reached out to previous staff and managers only to find out that all of it was a lie. That nothing had been replaced and that the owner took it upon himself to do mold remediation. That when they had visited the property just 2 weeks ago that mold was already growing back. That none of the staff were let go and instead all of them walked because the owner had decided to handle the problems himself instead of hiring professionals to properly handle it. I have been a guest in this hotel on and off since it opened years ago. Before this owner even purchased the property. The staff that they had were the best one that the property has ever had. I was looking forward to returning to my home away from home, I now refuse to return to a place that is unsafe and has hired such mediocre...
