I've passed this gem up just about every single day with zero thoughts of stopping by. This particular business location has been everything from a KFC to a fast food Indian fried chicken restaurant. And to add to that it's attached to a gas station. So the odds for me taking it serious as a bar and grill was arrogantly on my part never going to happen. Boy was I wrong!
I was honestly just waiting for this place to close down and hopefully would reopem under a familiar name to broaden the selection in this neighborhood. What a waste of waiting.
Okay so how did it happen? How did I finally give it a try? Well, being not so much a fan until recently of Indian food, I finally after trying another spot a few miles away that totally changed my taste buds, figured why the heck not. I will order the same dish I ordered from the other spot to see how others in the cultures would make it.
So we yelped it to check out the photos and it looked impressive. We stopped by during lunch and to my surprise there was a good number of people there. That's a good sign as 80% appeared to be Indian. (Hey! Think about it; if you go into a Mexican restaurant and see none of that race patronizing it then it just may not be too good or authentic. So, just using that same logic.)
I placed my order for Curry goat without ginger but the chef refused to make it without it. Okay fine, a chef with pride. I personally don't like ginger so I ordered another dish that was gingerless. The wife however proceeded with the curry goat. So when our order came out, I tasted her dish and she tasted mine. I was wow'd. Very wow'd. I could not taste the ginger in hers at all. Or, perhaps finally it was my first time having it prepared the correct way. That meal was extremely amazing. And mine personally wasn't as good. In fact, where her Curry goat was tender, my lamb was not. I totally blame me for that as I ordered it specially made by asking them to omit certain ingredients. So it really didn't have time to simmer correctly.
Nevertheless, my experience there with the excellent service and cocktails where a 5 star experience. I being one with a pickiness about there being a bug zapper mounted on the wall, makes me drop a star. It was clean and I get that insects fly in, but although it was fancy and looked kinda cool, it is what it is and I have to remove a star. I did visit the restroom to check cleanliness and it was indeed spotless. So the place is kept clean and the staff is extremely nice. But 4 stars is what I have.

Read moreMy name is Mike and my wife name is Emmy. We enjoy this place but the customer service is not good. Usually it’s good, but sometimes it either comes out to spicy or they don’t give us what we ask for even though we’ve been regular customers for about a year. I’ve talked to the owner a few times and we were cool but they are back acting mean and rough with me when I make any complaint. I should not feel bad as a customer that’s a regular if I order 20 times and every now and 1-2 times out of those times I have a genuine complaint about the food. When this place does the food right it’s very good but when they mess up they don’t care to replace the food without arguing or debate and they don’t give me anything extra for my gas and time to drive back and get my food corrected. The last order I got was last night. I ordered butter goat and I asked for medium spice and they made it extremely spicy to where I couldn’t even eat my food. You think they genuinely cared that I didn’t eat my food? No!! They argued me down and said they put medium price even though I told them I’ve had medium spice many other times and it wasn’t this spicy as this time. I think the chef accidentally put to many peppers in this and made it very spicy 🌶️ without realizing it. The right thing to do was just remake my order completely as I have to drive back and waste gas and time to get what I already paid for to be made right. Though I enjoy this places food when they do it right, I think I’m done going here because of the customer service and feeling like I can never offer valuable feedback and criticism. This is truly sad because their food isn’t that bad at al when...

The food was excellent, and we tried 5 dishes. The atmosphere is easy going and laid back. Nicer than you expect being next to the gas station but wish there was a bit more parking. Everyone working there was extremely nice and genuinely seemed to care about the restaurant and customers. One minor complaint would be the front of the house could really use a bit of added training on what to do and when. There were occasions when the staff didn't need to 'help ' us but did and others times we needed something and they didn't already have it (silverware and menus).
I'm not exactly sure of the reason (as I was excited to see the well stocked bar), but there was apparently no one there to make any of the mixed drinks on the menu. I just got a whiskey on ice.
Now for the food! Korma was outstanding and my favorite pick of the meal. Lamb was tender and flavorful, and sauce was rich, rustic, and bursting with flavor. The butter chicken was excellent, and it kids loved it. The rogan Josh was also rich and well spiced. We got medium spice, and it was still a bit mild, I'll have to try hot next time. The Tikka Masala was very good and seasoned excellently. Minor complaint was the Tikka was a bit sweet. Lastly, the chef or owner came out and helped during our order and suggested an off menu grilled chicken dish (yogurt, garlic, ginger and more) that was low spice for kids and they all liked it.
Again, the food was outstanding, and it was nice to see a small shop that cared so much. We'll be a regular here anytime we get the urge for curry, and I don't...
