I will never in my life stay at this hotel or recommend this hotel to anyone. For a Best Western Affiliate, I expected more. I have never had such a bad hotel experience to go right a review but here ya go. First, I was given false information after verifying twice that I can do early check-in anytime after midnight for and additional $30/$35. No problem. We get there after driving for nearly 5 hours at about 1:30am to be told that early check-in is at 3:00am. It would be $90 to check-in now. Having to kids in the car we had no choice and to try and hash it out with a manager in the morning. Secondly, we were given a room on the backside of the hotel, the entire hallway smelled like cigarettes as well as the room. The moment you walk in the hotel room it feels gross and dingy. There are stains on the walls. Hair in the bathtub. The sink was not well cleaned. The toilet still had hair and pee stains on it. Stains are on the sheets and curtains. There is dog hair and slobber all over the chair. You can tell a cigarette was put out on the bed sheet. The sheets were stained as well as the pillows. You could find hair underneath the sheets. Still a brown/tan color for not being thoroughly washed. It looked to be dried boogers or snot on one of the headboards. The outside of the microwave and TV were smeared and gross. Nothing seemed wiped down at all. The telephone was not cleaned or wiped down. The patchwork behind the door was unprofessionally done. I asked for a new room and to be able to inspect it first, I returned the key. That room was just as gross. The next morning I talked to management and they offered a third room, upon inspection, I returned that key too. I asked how old the building was and was told it was built in the 1970's. It sure looked like it was still in the 70's. The only thing that attracted us to that hotel was the lobby area and the pool like great. We returned our keys and asked for a refund after I found another hotel nearby. Still was charged $77 for the stay considering how gross it was and we did not feel comfortable sleeping in the room. We never would had driven late at night to get there as early as we did under the false information about early check-in to begin with. I will be calling corporate. This was completely unacceptable. For the price we would had paid to stay there nightly, my money would had been better spent on a cheap motel nearby truthfully. Before you give me some generic response with an apology about our stay and experience, don't waste your time. There is no pride in that place. Take the time to update each room from top to bottom and get rid of the smell of cigarettes. Make sure your keepers are doing a better job at thoroughly cleaning the rooms. For anyone who wants to know, we stayed at Aloft near by. MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better experience and they helped us out immediately and did not charge us early check-in considering what we just dealt with. If I could give a 0 rating for this...
Read moreMay stay was March 23rd and to be honest they don’t deserve a star at all. 0 Stars for me. Omg I don’t know to explain my stay. It was the worst experience ever. First I saw a sign posted on the front desk, if your room missing items you will get charged. The lobby area was COLD. The hotel room was not up to standards. The bathroom faucet came off, they came and fixed it. The kids wanted to swim but they lasted in the pool for 15 mins maxed bc it was super cold in the lobby which made the indoor pool cold. The hallway smelled horrible. When it was time to shower the hot water was warm, it didn’t get hot at all. I complained about that, the kids came from a cold swimming pool and lobby just to take a lukewarm shower. Everyone that attempted to swim in the pool lasted about 10 mins because it was extremely cold. The breakfast food sucked, the lobby was still cold. I complained to them about that how are we supposed to eat in lobby when it’s freezing cold. The front desk had a heater in which they know it was cold. I finally talked to the manager about all the issues. She never looked at me directly, she was talking to me but doing paperwork. She said I will not get a refund in which I never ask for one bc I did stay the night. She stated that the heat just started messing up as of Friday. I stated ma’am I just did my research and precious reviews said the heat wasn’t working weeks ago. She gave me no response but she offered to give me a refund of $50. I said I don’t have a choice but to except that. Also the rooms are too high to be having these issues I could’ve stayed somewhere else for that price I paid. She was extremely rude and so was the other staff. I stayed there a couple of weeks around the same time the motorcycles was there. I will tell anyone to DO NOT STAY THERE, if you see a foreign at a hotel LEAVE. The only reason we stayed bc we were on a time schedule and the pool. If I known we had the pool and hot water issues we would have left but didn’t find that out until later that night. I was so disappointed, they need a new owner or that place need to be shutdown. They have a bar but no workers as they say. Looking at all the other reviews, everyone complaining about the same thing. I recommend that NO ONE stay here. Read moreABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE! Upon arrival we get out and see there is broken glass all over the parking lot so we had a feeling this was not going to be a good stay. We entered and it seemed fairly decent in the lobby area- this is very misleading especially with the photos online they have provided that clearly have not been updated in years. Once we got into the hallway to our room, we see outside from our room 156 until the laundry room door the floor was covered with trash bags filled to the brim and not tied trash was falling out and liquids were leaking all over the floors it smelled horrendous and like pee and our room smell terrible since the smell lingered and drafted to our room, we made them aware of that and they picked it up awhile after the fact but still managed to leave wrappers and trash all over in the hallway, inside the room the toilet was covered in pee, the whole room was dirty and didn’t seem like it had been deep cleaned in who knows how long seemed more likely our beds were made and the room stocked, the pool water was disgusting it was salty we soft in for less than 20 mins, the ground surrounding the pool was covered in what appeared to be dirty-muddy cloudy water no idea why that was everywhere especially for an indoor pool, the towels in our rooms were all stained and had hairs on them, the ceiling above the shower was stained/damaged as well as the shower curtain. My sister woke up in the night to use the rest room and found a live cockroach that crawled out of the towels we had laid on the floor because we didn’t even want to walk on the tile,- we told the staff about it and they didn’t do anything or seem alarmed like it was a normal occurrence for them. As we were sleeping the air vent kicking on and off made our room smell musty and like cigarette smoke. We got up immediately this morning and packed up our stuff to get out as soon as we could since there was no refunds available, we didn’t want to be there another minute and we all slept like crap due to feeling unsafe, the uncleanliness, and the lack of care from the staff even made aware of all of this. They literally looked at us and shrugged their shoulders when we showed them the photo of the cockroach we found in our room.
