We had 2 adjacent rooms. Each had 2 queen beds, with a couch near the entrance. The couch didn't have the usual pull out bed; underneath, it had a twin mattress on wheels. So the couch and floor bed can also 2, but you don't have to put 2 kids together.
Desk had an opaque dividing screen and lamp. TV was mounted on the wall near the desk, but we found it could swivel to face the beds or couch area. So not optimized for either area, but definitely viewable from either area. Large walk in closet. Mattresses were comfortable. Extra blankets in closet. Pillows super fluffy... you get 2 per person, which was way too much. Glad we brought our own pillows since they are a bit too tall for kids. Bathroom has an opaque sliding door. Much larger than the normal type of bathroom, but counter space about equal to normal hotel bathrooms. Toilet, sink, tub/shower. Towels are shoved into a small place, so it was hard to see more than the first one in front. Room for 6 had 3 towels, and took 1 hours to get more, so we should have just sent someone downstairs. No bathroom fan, so it was muggy in the morning after we hung swim suits our to dry. Room has a large cupboard with a coffee maker, ice bucket, and a few cups. Inside the cupboard is a small fridge and tiny microwave. I was sad the mini fridge did NOT have a freezer, so we couldn't freeze our ice packs. Ice machine on 3rd floor was out, but we found some on the 5th floor. 2nd and 4th floors didn't have machines by our elevator. We used the swimming pool upon arrival. Great way to work off the sitting in the car to long wiggles with the kids before bed. Deep end is 5 feet, and shallow end was about 3 feet. Small pool, so I was glad we were the only ones there for about 40 min. They have pool towels here, so don't bring down room towels. Poolside seats and tables available. Poolside bathroom available. Adaptive needs seat to lower someone to water was available... first time to see that at a hotel! Breakfast was delicious. Waffle masker had add in options like chocolate chips. Oatmeal had so many add in options... honey, nuts, craisins, and more. Scrambled and boiled eggs available. Multiple milk options including chocolate. Multiple yogurt options. Prepackaged bagels with a few options including whole wheat, packaged blueberry muffins, and danishes prepackaged as well (these are great for grab and go). Packaged jams, butter, and cream cheese available, as well as a toaster. Raisin bran plus some sugary cereals. Apples and oranges available. Breakfast area had plenty of seating, though only 1 area for larger family to sit together so we just ended up at multiple tables. Area was kept clean. Attendant was courteous, helpful, and kept the area neat and well-stocked.
Parking behind the hotel is plentiful and has key access for customers. They even have street parking for semi truck drivers! You can see downtown in the horizon from the back, and the front is across the street from an amusement park... our kids were sad or want on the agenda. Located just a few miles from Independence, MO, our destination...

Read moreAmazing! We had a super early flight into KCMO and had requested an early check in thier best to accommodate (normal check in is 3pm and we had asked for 11 am). We called ahead and were told we could drop of our luggage to store there so we didn't have to take it with us everywhere we went until the room was ready. Within about 15 minutes as we were deciding where to go, Krista was able to get us into one of our two booked rooms (around 8 am). We had planned to all just hang out there until the normal check in time of 3 pm for our second room however not long after we got our first room, they had the second one ready. Krista went out of her way to accomodate us and it was amazing to get a hot warm shower after the early flight in. Rooms were super clean and well kept. Good pricing on beverages etc. The free breakfast was amazing. It's inviting from the second you walk in the door. If we travel to KCMO we will definitely make that our hotel of choice. The only downside we found is location. If you don't have a vehicle you have to travel a bit to get to downtown and uber/lyft can take a bit to arrive based on...
