Expensive and our room needed update stat. Paint and fiberglass was chipping out of the jacuzzi. Neither the jacuzzi or tub was clean. You had to stand between the toilet and tub to shut the door. The bathroom door needed to be replaced because it looked like Cujo tried to break out. The room was not disability friendly at all. The pool look like the water hadn't been changed or cleaned in Forever. And my coffee pot did not even work. When I went to check out, I tried to address my concerns about the jacuzzi and the woman just waved her hand at me and said you're all checked out have a good day. I know it must sound like I am being picky or a Karen, but for $130 a night I expect and deserve better. I should add that the whole reason for my stay was that I needed a Jacuzzi because of my disability and was hoping to relax some muscles. I was told I could switch rooms but that it would be without a Jacuzzi and I was not sure that I would get a refund , so I cleaned the jacuzzi myself.

Well I was informed when I checked in that there was no elevator due to the fact that this place was built one year before there was a requirement to have elevators so those stairs and which is not cool for people that are elderly and there was no parking for any trailers or tractor vehicle whatever you want to call it and the TV didn't work it there was no antenna where you can hear every other word that they were saying on television with the guy did in for me that would be like that and course the desk clerk was very rude he didn't care of whether or not I liked where I was staying or not and it is after memorial Day and the pool is not even open the cover is not off of it anything so I think maybe I would stay somewhere else if I could don't spend your money at super 8.

Our stay was fine. Could use some updating and fixing up for sure. I was in a non-smoking room, which I don't know if there are smoking rooms, but found cigarette burns on the linens. The tub pressure and hot water was difficult to figure out. Turning the lever to 7:00 is lukewarm, 9:00 is off, 10:00 is lava, 11:00 is lukewarm, 12:00 cold. The floor was a bit sticky by the sink like a gummy bear was melted there. The rest of the room was pretty clean, but it did have a musky smell. The lobby was super nice, there was breakfast until 9am. I had little interaction with the staff, but it was fine and the front desk did bare minimum, not friendly, not not-friendly. I probably won't book again, but it is a decent budget conscience place to stay. There are worse places.

We stayed at this Super 8 for three nights and were really disappointed with the overall experience. Each of us was only given one towel for the entire stay “for the environment” —but the towels we received had stains, hair, and a lot of lint transfer on them. There were also stains on the bed sheets. The bathroom had some type of mold, the showerhead was not attached to the wall (leaving a hole where it should have been), and the floors hadn’t been vacuumed—or if they had, it didn’t show. Our microwave wasn’t plugged in when we arrived, so we had to move the furniture to get it plugged in, which revealed a huge lack of dusting.

Housekeeping never came to our room. We had to take our own trash out, and the housekeeping staff—who had been down our hall multiple times—literally laughed at us as we carried out our trash, which had started to pile up. The toilet made loud noises every time it was used, the bathroom door was hard to close, the blanket had burn marks from what looked like cigarettes, and the AC felt like it was barely hanging on—making loud noises most nights. The room also had a moist, musty smell.

Breakfast was lackluster. There were no protein options or pancakes—just stale toast, cereal, and bad coffee. The orange juice was labeled “100% orange juice,” but it was extremely watered down and obviously made from concentrate. They only offered water during breakfast hours (7–9 AM), even though there was a water dispenser in the café area. That said, the front desk lady was very kind and did turn the water machine on for us when we asked, which we appreciated.

The pool was covered and closed with no explanation, despite it being the middle of summer.

Fairly certain we paid more for a “non-smoking room” but all of the rooms are smoke free, So what did I pay extra for? Couldn’t tell you. Additionally some of these photos on Google are not from this location or must be outdated.

The environment outside the hotel didn’t feel safe. There were at least five people hanging around the parking lot at all times who didn’t appear to be guests. When we first arrived, there was a couple in the waiting/common area who clearly weren’t in a good mental state, which made us uncomfortable. The night before we left, we were woken up by a crash. The next morning, we saw someone’s car had a broken rear blinker with shattered plastic all around it in the lot. It clearly happened overnight—we were just lucky it wasn’t our car.

The positives: the blackout curtains worked well, and we didn’t see any bugs in the bed. It’s also the cheapest option close to Worlds of Fun, which is probably the only reason they stay in business. But for the price, it’s still too expensive for what you get.

Our 3 night stay at this hotel was AWFUL. We had 3 rooms booked for 3 nights for our family of 10, with two children under the age of 8. Two out of the three rooms had ants. The popcorn on the ceiling in my room was falling off onto our bed. Even though our rooms were non-smoking, it always smelled of cigarette smoke. The second day, we went down to have breakfast. Yes, we woke up a few minutes late and got down there around 9:10. Breakfast ends at 9:00, which seems weirdly early to me considering people generally stay in hotels for vacations and actually enjoy sleeping in a little. So we get down there a few minutes behind to grab some food real fast and the employees are taking everything away. We have children sitting at a table waiting to eat and the employees continued to take everything away. And the Frosted Flakes were just corn flakes - which might not seem like a big deal, but when there aren't really any other options and you're 3 years old, plain corn flakes suck. The employees did not bother to ask if we were trying to get food or anything; they did not interact with us at all. The front desk clerk's young child was with her at work, and she had him wiping off tables with a wet rag, not even sanitized at all. I've worked in restaurants for long enough to know how ridiculously unsanitary that is and also how important it is to do everything you can to keep conditions sanitized where food will be eaten or handled. There was no elevator - luckily we were only on the second floor so my 65 year old grandmother who has had multiple knee and foot surgeries didn't have to walk up too many stairs. The second floor also did not have an ice machine, which I completely understand is a miniscule detail but still. That's sort of a basic staple in hotels. As a student studying hospitality management, this was the ultimate nightmare of hotels. Our family will never be staying at this hotel or any other Wyndham hotel again - we would rather pay $150 a night per room to stay somewhere else that actually has some standards for their business. Yes, they were cheap rooms. But we didn't think the price matched the service and product...

I travel for work and stay in a Huge variety of hotels/motels from 1 star to 5 star. By far this place has taken care of me hands down the absolute best. On Friday July 16th had a late arrival to KC and was trying to get a room at multiple places needless to say that process did not go well at all. I arrive here at Super 8 worn out from work ask for a room, they had 2 rooms left however being as it's next to world's of fun and the weekend prices vary (and I knew that). While talking with Lisa at the front desk who made this entire process the easiest I have ever dealt with she got me a room and was kind enough to sit for over 5 mins finding the company I work for in the system to give me my discounted rate. She got me taken care of booked into room in the quickest way possible with the best possible attitude. Rooms were more than I expected. 100 percent clean, beds were 5 star slept amazing clean linen and all not to mention the lobby you could almost eat off the floor. I have been to many Super 8's in general and this one at this location takes the cake hands down. Come Sunday 10 am I decide to go to the lobby and extend my stay by 1 extra day, I knew I was gonna have issues with how my luck is and not be able to get a room none the less the same room. Well than I met Katy. Fast, efficient, a damn good attitude someone who takes their job seriously and she is all smiles. Got me in the same room, paid for and everything signed under 5 mins with new key cards. Super 8 doesn't even know the value of the 2 lady's they have and how much just those 2 alone impact someone's opinion and their stay. 5 Stars hands down for the Room. If I could give more than 5 Stars for just lady's in the lobby I would. I wouldn't give any motel in the area another look until you...
