I'm editing my review for this location from 4 stars to 1 star. They've contacted me (via one text message) 7 months after my stay, to tell and threaten me with legal action against me. Stating to me that I owed them $700 that they failed to collect while I was at their property. I booked this location through Booking.com in May of 2021. I was in the office of this property management multiple times during my stay (check in, check out, asking questions) and they failed to charge me or ask for my credit card during my stay is poor hospitality. I've never met a more unprofessional crew of persons.
I would NOT recommend staying here as you never know if you might be dealt with a charge 7 months later due to their negligence. Even businesses/corporations don't operate on such late accounts receivable! As an FYI - other reviewers seem to have issues with charges and late fees and booking issues (take this as a warning not to stay here).
In addition to my fun - 7 month late charges - I will let people know that while the photos on this resort are for mostly their bed and breakfast. My partner and I rented a room and it was nice and had a “view” of the ocean. One of the reasons I wanted to book this place was to attempt to cook for our stay to save money. The cooking utensils here are wanting…they need to be sharpened and a few need to be thrown away due to rust. It was near impossible to cut fish with the chef knife.
I'd bet, 7 months later, the utensils are still rusted. I hope my late charge goes to good use and they can get new utensils and have the best possible "bed and breakfast".
Mahalo!
P.S. I paid the amount they stated I owed them - the day...
Read moreWe booked a room in the Bed and Breakfast part of the property. The room was nicely appointed, the grounds were nice and the location is convenient to Brennecke and Poipu Beaches, but that’s the only good things I have to say. ||First of all, there was no breakfast! When we called to ask when and where it would be (no one was EVER in the office! We were there for 4 days, and never saw a soul), we were told they didn’t serve breakfast. But wait…the signs in the parking lot say “Bed and Breakfast” and the brochures on the property tout a “delicious breakfast served daily”, and several online reviews said breakfast was served. That’s why we booked this room rather than one of the kitchen units on site! There was a “coffee bar” in the common area, with a dirty frig, electric kettle, water dispenser and a few kitchen supplies. The coffee supplied was instant in little foil packets, that were never replenished, and one big box of tea bags - no variety. Really? Not even a Keurig? And no microwave?||Our room had a tv that didn’t work, water that would sometimes get hot in the shower and a few windows that were stuck closed….. Beach towels and chairs were available to use, so that’s a plus.||We received many automated texts from the office, offering tips on making reservations and where to see the turtles - nice, I guess, but we also received one telling us to feel free to use any of the fresh vegetables in the garden - eggplant, etc. We thought that was a nice touch, but I kid you not, the garden was full of weeds and a few herbs that had gone to seed.||Maybe book the units with kitchens, or...

We just completed our stay at Poipu Plantation and I can't say how pleased we were. The entire place has a charming mid-century hawaiian plantation resort feel with lovely furniture. We stayed in Pikake suite which was very spacious and all perfect layout with places to set our open luggage, wardrobe and hangers. It was clean and had all the amenities you could want-shampoo, soap, clean towels daily as needed with daily housekeeping.
We started each day by sipping our kauai coffee and chatting around the table, making new friends with a 2-course unique home cooked breakfast each morning, served restaurant style varying from guava pancakes to an omelette, rolls with cheese, superb!
Jared and Audry- you took good care of us, we were blessed by your hospitality. Thank you.
Everyone was extremely generous and hospitable, not only recommendations that always proved good but also encouraged us to use the beach chairs, beach towels, books to read, and even sunblock and bugspray, even the day we left after checking out.
The office keeps a shelf so guests can leave behind things like sunblock others which just epitomized not only hospitality but also the small-bnb feel that you just can't get at a large and impersonal resort.
We'll be coming back soon. Highly...
