The Kent Collection | The Garden Cottages — Hotel in Kent

This place is so cute and amazing! ||TLDR: great place, book it!||Recently remodeled and newly open, we were so lucky to find this place for our family of 4. Plenty of room in The Bunk House and when traveling with kids, so great to have a full kitchen. (They have other units in the same collection, we were able to get a peek at a couple and they look thoughtfully remodeled too). Everything at this property is Instagram worthy, with very cute details throughout. Super clean and comfortable. And they had all the amenities we needed, from the fully outfitted kitchen, to toiletries and robes in the baths. Great water pressure, comfortable beds. The set up with the loft area for the kids was perfect too. They had their own cozy space, but there was plenty of communal space to hang out and play downstairs.|Next time, we will bring our pup. The place allows dogs, and there is a built-in bed and bowls for him - they thought of everything! No evidence that it’s a dog-friendly place (like a smell) even though I see a review where people had a dog there right before our stay. |But maybe the best part about this place is the ideal location. We were visiting family nearby, and we loved the quaint town of Kent. We went to a cute farmer’s market, took a kid-friendly, easy hike to a picturesque waterfall, did some shopping on Main Street. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, for those times you don’t want to cook (it’s a vacation, after all). |The grounds are beautiful, there’s space outside to relax, read or grab some picnic food to eat outside and enjoy the weather. People from the town are friendly and pass the vibe-check. They are quick with a recommendation for hikes or restaurants. Felt safe to have our kids run around on their own for a bit. |Wi-fi included so we could plan our activities, find places to eat, stream entertainment, or even work if you need to. |We will return. They thought of everything, and when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING!

We stayed at The Bunk House over Easter weekend and had an amazing time! It was beautifully designed. I couldn't stop complimenting how well they balanced the original beams, wood floors, etc., with modern touches. The word Cottage is misleading. I expected small and simple but it was so much more spacious than we expected! Our family of five; including three boys ages four, six and almost nine were so comfortable. Upon arrival one yelled I WANT TO LIVE HERE! LOL. All appliances are high end and anyone that travels with kids knows how valuable it is to have a full kitchen as well as extras like washer & dryer. The loft was appropriate for guests of all ages with a full staircase, and the full bathroom at the bottom of the stairs made it perfect for little ones! We had all the comforts of home and more! Traveling with pets? There was even the cutest dog or cat house built into the wall along the hallway— spacious enough for even large dogs! The outdoor spaces & fire pits were such a nice touch too!

Keli the Inn Keeper was kind, helpful and very responsive. After seeing The Bunk House, I just HAD to see The Victorian and she kindly gave us a tour. It was as gorgeous as I expected and I have already started a group chat, plotting a girls’ trip there!

Located in the center of town, we walked everywhere! The only place we drove was to Kent Falls, which was a short ten minute drive.

Our stay at The Kent Collection was such a treat! I would, and already have, recommend The Kent Collection to anyone that needs lodging in the Kent area, but also as a perfect getaway! Our stay at The Kent Collection was nothing short of spectacular! My mother, sisters, and I had the most incredible time, and I cannot recommend this inn highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything was pristine—so clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need.

The location is unbeatable, offering year-round fun with fantastic amenities. We loved exploring the charming nearby town, filled with great restaurants and quaint shops. And having Kent Falls State Park just moments away was the perfect bonus! Whether you're looking for adventure or relaxation, this place has it all.

A special shoutout to Joe, the amazing innkeeper, who was beyond helpful and kind, and the innkeeper Keli, who was such a pleasure to deal with—both were absolutely phenomenal and made our stay even more memorable.
