Arrived there about 10 minutes after they were supposed to open. Had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes until owner arrived and opened up. Ordered Beef Pad Thai, Pork Lo Mein, Egg roll, and California Roll, all for takeout. Had to wait about 1/2 hour but I attribute that to them having to set up for the day. Pad Thai was good but not as good as eating in. Lo Mein was also good, pretty much equal to other places in the area. Egg roll was a little overcooked but that's pretty much par for the course in this area. California roll was excellent. Much better than my usual place closer to home. Owner/proprietor was very nice and courteous. Prices seemed very reasonable. I didn't rate the atmosphere because I only glanced into the dining room for a moment, but it did look nice. We placed a take out order at 4:20 p.m. waited till 4:50 p.m. to go and pick up, food was not ready, we received it at 5:10 p.m. order was not started until we walked in to pick it up so what's the point of ordering ahead. This is not a one time thing this is an all the time thing. If they were slammed I would be understanding but when you walk in and they are on their phones and your food isn't ready, that's not a case...

I ordered what I thought was a normal dish off the Chinese menu, "hot and spicy chicken", not realizing that this restaurant uses Mala or "numbing spice". As a result the dish was overly salty and I really disliked the flavor and numbing sensation. I wish this restaurant and others would clearly call attention to dishes that they put Mala into. I personally hate the seasoning and would prefer to avoid it entirely rather than being unpleasantly dissatisfied with my meal.
