We have heard such great things about this bakery and were excited to try as we just moved into the area, today we’re really sad to have experienced such poor service from a gentleman that made our coffee today. He was wearing a grey shirt and had long dark hair pulled back into a pony tail. We ordered a pastry and a small iced latte with oat milk with a girl at the counter. When we received our first coffee it was made with far too much milk. When I approached the gentleman at the counter I kindly asked if he could remake the coffee because I thought when I ordered a small coffee it would have less milk. He told me they only have one size for iced drinks which is completely fine however the young lady did not specify that there was one size. Regardless the coffee still had too much milk for any size. When I let him know we were unaware I asked would you mind just remaking the coffee for us with a little less milk. His response was “suuuure” with a lot of attitude as if it was a major inconvenience. When he remade the coffee he handed us a half filled cup with about 4 ice cubes and a poorly made coffee. I’m not kidding it was half filled! (I wish I took a picture of the coffee for proof) when he gave us our coffee he said “half size latte ready” with so much pettiness in his voice and when I looked at the cup I could not help but laugh that he was serious. I did not ask for a half filled cup all I kindly wanted was a little less milk in the coffee. We were so displeased with the situation we politely asked for a refund for the coffee only, he very sternly said “no actually you cannot” “that’s what you ordered” I told him that’s not what I ordered and we expressed to him that we felt like he was being petty and we really didn’t appreciate the unfriendliness and poor attitude he was exhibiting, that was more upsetting than anything about the coffee itself. He continued to refuse to refund us with continued rudeness. The girls working today were so nice and friendly but this guy truly made us never want to come here again. We chose to leave the coffee behind and left disappointed by the...
Read moreAnother place that aggressively does not want your business. Especially at your convenience. Checked their website and found a delightful looking cake that my partner would surely love. Saw that I could make an online order, but it states "We will reach you within 48 hours to complete the order." Now, I don't really want to be on-call to say 'yes, I would indeed like a cake.' Especially the weekend before Halloween (we have some plans involving mazes. How irritated would I be if they called while I was out in a muddy maze? So I check the stores hours on their site and hours state open until 4pm on Friday. Not great, but I'm able to duck out of work a little early and actually arrive at 2:57. Why so specific? When walking toward the building I see the Closed sign. I slowly make my way up because I'm a little taken aback. There's another sign saying "Due to workforce bah bah bah we close at 3". For the record that's not a word for word quote. Check my phone and it's not quite 3, but a gentleman behind the counter sipping espresso is doing his best not to acknowledge me. Fair enough. A little hurtful, but fair enough. So I can't give my order in person. Next best thing! I call! I dislike talking on phones, but this seems the obvious solution. Ring, ring, ring. Some more ring, ring, ring. I hear the phone. They hear the phone. They ignore the phone. Well, I'll leave a message of my intent to order a cake. "We're sorry, the automated inbox for 'The French Bakery' is full. Please try your call again at another time."
My option? Try to go in at another time to place the order, fill out the online form and wait up to forty eight hours, or go somewhere else. Surely there's a bakery in the area that wants...
