
The initial impression while walking in was great.
The suite is a great size, a bit outdated design, but on first glance, it looked appealing.
We arrived around midnight, and we were exhausted.
Once I was laying in the king-sized bed and turned around, the fitted sheet snapped into my face.
The kids tried to assist me to put the sheet back on, but we quickly realized that both the fitted sheet and mattress topper were too small for the bed.
We were chuckling because it really had to take great effort to pull these tiny sheets over the mattress and didn't think of it as a big deal initially.
I called the front desk to ask for another set of sheets but was informed that they had no access to clean sheets during the night.
I tried to sleep on top of the blanket but couldn't do so. It ended up being a sleepless night, causing us to cancel our activity plans for our first day!
I called the front desk again in the morning, had to call three more times to receive twice small sheets, and once only top sheets while no one came by after the first call.
I was frustrated and walked over to the building with the front desk, with the clear garbage bags full with the clean sheets I couldn't use.
I was tired to tears and asked to speak to a manager, who wasn't available!
I was told to go back to my suite, and someone will be there in another 10 minutes.
(No "We are sorry this happened," nothing!)
I went back to building 5, suite 10 on the 11th floor, and yes, after a few minutes, someone came by and finally got me the right sheets.
Adding insult, I had to make my own bed so I could finally get to sleep!!
A couple of days later, we used the jacuzzi that we couldn't get to drain because the plug was stuck.
We called the front desk, and a technician came by later to use a plyer to open said drain... while waiting for the technician, I tried to vacuum.
My goal was to clean the coffee table top that had been dirty when we arrived. It has crumbs in between the upholstery part and table top...
I pulled the hose from the vacuum, and this huge ball of dirt/dust came out... no suction...
When the tech came, I showed it to him. His English wasn't great but he seemed sweet- he tried to tell me that this vacuum doesn't have a hose feature and pushed it back into place...initially I felt dumb but as he walked out I noticed the brush attached that is meant to be used to be put onto the hose...so, the vacuum isn't working and no one seems to care!
The shower in my bedroom had hair stuck to the wall!
The dryer in that unit takes four to five full cycles for a regular load to get things dried!
The bar by the pool is not open when it's supposed to be open.
We did encounter the bar opened twice.
I got the deal of the day, two lime Margaritas for $16, they poured it out of a pitcher that was sitting outside over ice...it was warm and took a while to cool off through the ice and it tasted awful!
It was a bummer!
I did receive a phone call from someone while I was awaiting the sheets that inquired about how our check-in was...
I told her that I had a sleepless night due to the sheets, but she didn't seem to care either.
I saved up for a long time to be able to afford this vacation, to celebrate my birthday, and honestly expected better service than what we got!
My suggestion is to have someone fix your appliances and make sure the cleaning crew doesn't skip cleaning the shower walls.
I honestly wasn't offended by the crumbs on that coffee table, but the overall experience wasn't impressive!
There is a convenience store across from the resort that also sells "Pizza hut" pizza. The staff there is really pleasant, and we got a few things to cook in our suite. Many items that are being sold there are dollar store items for ridiculous pricing, but it helped to keep us from eating out. The Irish bar/pub across the street is also great for a meal. Read moreLet's start from the beginning. Check in was ok. But as soon as we walked in the doors of building 5 the smell was horrible. Mold and mildew and just disgusting smell. We almost turned around and demand a refund to go elsewhere. The carpets is the absolute dirtiest nastiest filthy gross things we have ever encountered in any type of hotel. And as I'm sitting here writing there are cars doing donuts in the parking lot. Real classy place huh. Anyway that was the carpet in every building and room. We opened the door to our room and we're almost smothered from the heat in the room. 84 degrees and the AC was on. Called front desk immediately and were told someone would be up within 10 mins. 45 mins later i called again. Was told the same thing. 30 mins later called again. Got the same blow off. Finally 20 mins later the guy showed up acting like it's no big deal. Supposedly fixed it. Wow yeah it was finally running and that's it. Called and said we wanted a room the AC worked in. Was told he fixed it so there is no need to move us. Temp only dropped to 83 by the morning. We all got no sleep it was so hot. It has droped 2 degrees a day. We are on day 4 and it's only at 74. Miserable in this heat of triple digits for the real feel. But yet they have done nothing and refuse us a room with AC that actually works. Spoke with other guests and they also said their room was so hot. Went to cook breakfast and no frying pans only a sauce pot. I've requested 3 times for pots and pans. I've yet to receive any. Says ice machine in room. Guess what.... That's broke also. Most of the dishes are nasty looking and not washed. The dishwasher does not clean the dishes at all and leaves soap on them and food. Did a load of laundry and then put them in dryer. I'm on my third time of drying. As said before the carpet in room is disgusting. The furniture is like sitting on concrete and is so old and nasty. And the beds are hard as a rock. Our backs have hurt so bad the whole time we've been here. And the pillows are a joke. They are a rectangle flat as a pancake. And there are stains on almost all of the bedding. And who knows they probably didn't even get changed. That at this point wouldn't surprise me with this place. Strait up slum lords here. Don't know if the stove and oven works because we have no pots and pans to cook as we planned. We have had to eat out with money we didn't really have. Oh and don't try to mess with the ceiling fan cords. When you pull them they come off. The showers were dirty and spots of black mold. So who knows the last time they were cleaned. I have sent 2 emails to the hotel management. Not a single reply yet. And the pull out sofa bed has dirty linen on it when we pulled it out. And pieces falling off of it each time we pull it out. The balcony table is nasty. This place isn't worried about anything but money. This place isn't worth what they charge. And when I've told them i want some money reimbursed due to all the problems it was a flat out NO. Guess i will be taking a trip to my bank for a dispute on this transaction when we get home. I will also be making a call to the HEALTH DEPARTMENT and the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Run don't walk away from this place and don't look back. I've stayed in motels nicer than this place. I sure wish i had checked the reviews on this place before we booked. Because they are right on point. We have never been so disgusted with a resort/hotel in our life. And the over $1,000 we paid we should have just threw it out the window. We're hot and miserable and stuck in this filth and smell. Never been so ready to check out of a place in all our travels...
Read moreI'm going to try not to be too long, but wow. The only 2 positive things I can say about this "Resort" is the pool and the location. Perfect 👌 and that in the outside it looks nice.. Now to the negative..😒 Front desk was alright.. not too friendly but not mean either. They just acted and had faces like they was careless. That's fine I guess I can overlook that. We check in and find out we are on building 2, across the st from the pool.. okay, willing to overlook that as well, trying to stay positive. As we arrive to our room on the 4th floor, and open the door, we loved how big the space was. Layout was great for us (8). Okay, feeling happy, until we realize how severely damaged and run down all the furniture in that apt suite was. (I have pictures to prove it) As we continue to settle in, we notice rug looks super dirty (motel style) and the whole place doesn't feel clean, I have pictures of a sofa blanket that I opened and it had brown stains on them, IT WAS GROSS! Kitchen looks run down, (except the microwave) dishwasher didn't work. Didn't bother complaining about that either.. utensils and plates looked like they needed a wash. Just 1 pot for rice nd 1 pan for breakfast, 2 small pots for idk, maybe milk 🤔 super challenging when cooking for 8.. Master bedroom had 2 different shades, and they was full of dust, as well as all the doors were filled with old dust on them, living room fan was super dirty, bathroom sink and toilet clogged, slow draining.. Dryer didn't work. Had to call someone to get it fixed. Fridge/freezer didn't work for the 1st 3 days. 1 guy said it's dirty, "cleaned it" and said it should be fine, (didn't work) had to put my milk, butter etc. up in the freezer so it didn't spoil.. called again, 2nd guy said I had too many things in the freezer!?!?! LOL 😆 😵💫 obviously!! I was trying to do what I could to save my cold items! Since yah wasn't doing anything!! He comes back drops off a small fridge so that we can transfer our stuff until they fix the fridge. 3rd guy came and said he'll put gas.. and after like the 3rd day we finally saw a working fridge. 🥴😮💨 In regards to like customer service, they suck! They knew 8 of us were coming, yet they only put 5 towels.. we tried to make it work. But on the 3rd day we was fed up. Went in to ask for atleast 2more towels, and the guy was like "it's usually $10 per towel" !?!?!?! My sister was like, well u guys oy gave us 5 knowing we were 8. And a lady in the back was like, just give it to her. And my sister came out feeling like awkward. They only put 2 trash bags for a 3 bedroom suite for a 5night stay! And they get upset when we ask for stuff!?!?! I can keep going, but overall, I WOULD LOOK ELSEWHERE! We probably got one of the worst rooms, maybe there are better rooms. I know we didn't get to experience that. I DEFINITELY WON'T BE COMING BACK! There are MANY more Resorts in the area we would be better off. I just didn't know the area, so I didn't know how many more better options are there. To everyone who is reading this, if u have a family of 5 or more and are serious about the cleanness of a place, DON'T BOOK HERE! this suite was so embarrassing that I never video called any of my family and friends to show it off like...
