Texas Inn — Hotel in La Joya

I don't know what hotel the other reviewers were talking about but it wasn't this one. There is no fitness facility and the manager said there never had been one and he didn't know why the information on the internet said there was and there was nothing he could do about the false advertising. When I asked about breakfast, he said it was coffee and juice. I said that is not breakfast. He said rates were too low to have more, if I wanted more I should pay $159 to stay at a fancier hotel. Really? This guy had no remorse about the false advertising. The room was not dirty but the towels were gray. Management and staff are very nice and hospitable. I have stayed there several times and have never had any bad experience. On one occasion, I had a severe asthma attack, the clerk in charge noticed I was having issues and called the ambulance for me. When I returned a couple of days later, I was issued a credit on my card and my vehicle was still where I had parked it and no tools or product were missing. I rented a room there last night. I have to admit that I read the reviews and was concerned about how the room would be. Upon arrival, the gentleman who tended to me was very polite and helpful. We then went to the room and when I opened the door I turned the lights on and walked through checking everything. Right off the bat, it smelled of Fabuloso and was very clean.
