High End Pricing/Motel 6 Stay To say I was vastly disappointed with our stay at THE HILLS HOTEL is a complete understatement. I have traveled the world extensively and I have received better treatment and amenities in a 3rd world country hotel then at The Hills Hotel. The front desk staff did not acknowledge my presence, smile, say hello or one moment please. When it was my turn to check in, the lady never looked up from her computer, she just asked me for my reservation number, ID and credit card. She located my reservation and confirmed I had reserved an ADA room. The lady checking me in, informed me about a RESORT FEE. In California, as of July 1, 2024, a hotel can no longer charge a resort fee. This was an additional $25.00/day. I mentioned this to her and then she stated, it’s really a parking fee. Since when does a resort fee become a parking fee? When you want to charge your guests additional fees! Next, I asked if there was daily housekeeping? She said, only if I request housekeeping. I immediately requested housekeeping for Saturday. I grabbed a hotel bag cart, went to the car, grabbed our bags and proceeded to the room (#103). As we entered the room, I was painfully disappointed. The room SMELLED LIKE A WET DOG! The carpet was old and worn, no view and I am paying $300.00/night for this? In Laguna Hills? Unbelievable. We were in the room for about 5 minutes and immediately received a call from the front desk. The water main was being shut off due to the remodeling on the 3rd floor. We instantly left the hotel and went to Laguna Beach. I wasn’t staying around to be agitated any longer. As I have already stated, we had an ADA room. My fiancée is an amputee. The shower was narrow and difficult for him to enter. It was so difficult, he decided not to use the shower on Sunday. This is an ADA issue that hopefully, with your remodeling project, you’ve addressed. By the way, there were no ADA bars in the shower. He needed the ADA bars around the toilet area to assist in lifting himself off the toilet and into his wheelchair. Well, he had an accident! The ADA bar behind the toilet was not properly attached to the wall. It was not drilled into the studs. The bar was only attached to the drywall and of course, the bar came OUT OF THE WALL AND HE FELL! I went to the front desk to report the issue. I spoke with Vivian. I needed this issue to be fixed, immediately! She called maintenance to report the issue. At that moment, I asked Vivian to confirm we were scheduled for housekeeping. Vivian said, I was NOT ON THE LIST. I told her that I asked the person at check-in to include our room for Saturday housekeeping. SHE DID NOT! Vivian could see my unhappiness with the situation and rectified it immediately. She made sure we would have a clean room and towels when we came back to the hotel. I thanked her for her assistance. When we got back to the hotel after 11:00 p.m. our room was clean. However, the ADA bar was not fixed and was still hanging out of the wall. How could a hotel, offering an ADA room, not properly install the ADA bars? How could this hotel not rectify the situation on the same day? And remember, I am paying $300.00/night for the room. Incomprehensible. Then, on Sunday, as we were getting up and dressed, we received a call from the front desk at 10:15 a.m. The room next to us, room 105 was having “plumbing issues” and they needed access to our room. Really? Plumbing issues? I told the person who called me they could have access to our room in 10-15 minutes. This was the last straw. I could not believe that we were subjected to so many issues in a short period of time. Besides, check out was at 11:00 a.m. and they had to inconvenience us due to...
Read moreif you are by your self and looking for a place safe to spend the night this is not the place for you RUN.one of the worst places and service. i was traveling to see some friend planning to return back same day but it was late to drive and i had a very long day already so i decided to book a room to spend the night then hit the road in the mornings. this was sept 1. it was already late and i was so tired. i did my checks in. i will not speak about the place looked like they are gooing through some renovations becuse of the painting smell was too much. BUT when i went to the room i was surprised that the room had 2 connecting door one on each side that connect to another room and both side of the room had guest with loud noise. so i went back immediately to the front disk asking for a difference room because i was not comfortable or feeling safe in this room. the front disk WERE NOT welcoming for my return and there behavior was a way far from professional. i told them that I DID NOT FEEL SAFE IN THAT ROOM and all i need is a room with no connect door to another room to spend the night. after some argument and wired looks and discussion with another colleague in a different language while i'm talking to him. he said ALL THE ROOM THEY HAVE HAS A CONNECT DOOR TO ANOTHER ROOM!!!!. and the only available room will be a room with 2 beds i agreed and said i don’t mind as long as it doesn’t open to another room and i asked if i can go see the room. the front disk said that he will not let me go by my self and will send another worker as if i'm a threat of something!!!! i was trying to be calm and i was really tired and passed my sleeping time so i did not argue and just went with a lady worker to see the room. we went up again and the noise coming from the rooms like some party happenings or something. the room did not have a connect door BUT when i closed the door i was surprised THE DOOR DID NOT HAS A LOCK. and i was seeing the screw holes like some one broke it. Thankfully the worker was still there and i told her how i will stay in the room if i can't lock my door from inside so her answer was" JUST CLOSE THE DOOR YOU DON'T HAVE TO LOCK THE DOOR!!" so i refuses and went back again to the front disk. to ask for a room with no connect door to another room and has a door that can be locked from inside. the man in the front disk was so rode and told me we DON'T HAVE A ROOM FOR YOU and he canceled my...

From the sleek furniture to the calming color palette, everything has been upgraded with comfort and style in mind. The layout is spacious and practical, with thoughtful touches that enhance the overall experience. One of the highlights for me was the in-room coffee setup, which made my mornings so much more enjoyable.
