I think I'm being fair. Restaurant was better. Food got worse. Service lacked. We ordered 2 pita sandwiches, and one order of fries, water and tea. Cost: $58! Mind you, we got a side of fries on one plate not a choice on menu. We thought we were ordering $12 plate of fries. The good thing is the side only cost $6 for 1 plate. And the small glass of plain tea... $5! No refill? No, the waiter never gave us a refill if water or tea for the dry sandwiches. The gyro on mine was thick cut. When I used to get it, it was thin slices from a spit. (Did I spell it right?) Never had thick gyro cut meat. Oh! And fries in the sandwiches which made them even more dry. Fries were not great either. Darn! I used to like this place. Remember, not good, bad service, $58!
On top of it, they tried giving me more fries since we expected a $12 order, I had already said it was ok with only the food the got. I said no thanks for the extra fries. Still, they gave them to us, never ate them. Had nothing to swallow the dry food with. And thank you server for reminding us you have is free fries when we were leaving and wanted us to take them with us. I said I didn't enjoy dinner, he said I'm glad you you had a good dinner, remember the fries were free. NO THANK YOU!!!. We went to another restaurant for.... Wait for it.... A drink. Not alcoholic drink. Just a flipping drink of...

Read moreA great find. The food was delicious. For appetizers we ordered the “trio” (hummus, tzatziki, and baba ganoush) and dolmas. I'm usually not a big fan of babaganoush, but theirs is really well made with a great texture and flavor. The dolmas were also excellent with rich flavor. Both come with pickled turnips, olves and pepperoncinis wich add a nice, acidic counterbalance. For the entree I ordered mousaka. I’ve never had this before so I can’t compare to others, but I thought this was really good. Very savory with tender eggplant and potatoes with well-balanced but forward spices. Someone else ordered lamb tenderloin which was very tender and well-seasoned. Everyone (five diners) was very pleased with their orders.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is also nice to find a place that is between fine dining and casual. The dining environment is stylish without being pretentious and a nice enough for a date or celebration while still being welcoming.
We’ll...
