Extremely disappointed in our family's one night stay at the Treehouse Villas. Unfortunately the beautiful online photos don't represent the actual condition of the units. The Treehouse Villa assigned to my family of 7 was run down, ice maker never worked even after having maintenance come in for repairs and housekeeping missed the mark completely. Deck hadn't been swept clean of pine needles and debris prior to our arrival. I had to clean it to use it. Completely covered with pine needles and slippery. Party of 7 and the Villa has 4 tea bags so it was necessary to bring that to housekeeping attention too. Very disappointing stay in the Treehouse after having it on my bucket list for many years. I have brought all of this to Disney's attention with minimal response, minimal resolution. Not the Disney Resort experience we expected. Avoid the Treehouse Villa until they are remodeled as I was told is scheduled soon. It's large and can accommodate multiple people but right now the interior is in definite need of attention. Avoid this particular Villa. It's special handicap designed and was never requested by me and wasn't required. Master bathroom tub and shower impossible for even a non handicapped person...
Read moreHands down one of the best family choices at WDW--a lot of space in 3 separate bedrooms, two with Queens, one with a bunk-bed for the kiddos. Two separate baths, a KITCHEN (a real plus, believe me) and a living room with a pullout bed in the sofa and a single in the chair. You can fit 8-9 people in one with ease.
Another huge bonus is how secluded this feels; you park right at your tree house, and when you're in one you feel totally removed from the hustle and bustle of anywhere else.
I should add that there is a boat dock for a quick ride to Disney Springs, if you don't want to cook.
Really the only major drawback here is the lack of any transportation to the parks other than the standard buses. This can obviously be a bit of a drawback, but the bus services at Disney are usually superb. Expect a bus about every...
Read moreThis is a great resort for large families, as the tree house can sleep up to 9. The challenge is that they only permit one vehicle per unit. The units feature 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They have a full kitchen with a full size refrigerator and freezer, microwave, oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee pot, dishes, utensils, and even utensils for grilling on the small grill out front. The unit also has a stacked washer and dryer. Guests have access to bus and boat transportation. There is a pool in the area, but guests may also use the amenities at Saratoga Springs. The units are cozy and quiet but will be due for a...
