Senses - A Disney Spa — Local services in Lake Buena Vista

The facility was great, the amenities were wonderful, but I was a bit disappointed in the massage itself. Being an athlete my whole life, I have had a LOT of massages, but this was the first time that I actually felt pain...not in an "oh my muscle is sore and that hurts but in just the right way" pain, but in the sense that too much attention was given to a spot that did not need attention. The area was fine before the massage, but now it has been nearly two weeks since my appointment and my skin in that area is still tender to the touch. Also, I specifically told her that my legs were sore when she asked if there was anything I wanted to focus on (I had just run the half marathon the day before), and she barely spent any time at all on my legs. While I enjoyed the visit itself, and think there was value in the spa, I feel like this was the type of massage I would get free from a massage school for training...

So I made my spa appointment months before my trip. I never got a confirmation email so I called back a few weeks later and they said my reservation was in. I STILL never got a confirmation email so I went to the spa when I got to Saratoga springs to make sure my appointment was still in the system, they said it was. My appointment was this morning at 10AM I got to the spa at 9:30 and the front desk ladies said they couldn’t find my appointment anywhere and I expressed to them that I’ve called twice to make sure it was in the system and even came to the spa a few days earlier and they said the same thing. The front desk ladies called the manager and the manager told me that they were sorry and couldn’t fit me in at all today. This is so unacceptable. They only job is to make reservations and they can’t even do that. I will never be coming back...

I had a signature manicure with four micky character nails.

I wasn’t very impressed by the selections of characters designs - I could have had these done back home, they were not special to Disney at all.

My nail tech was friendly which was good but I was not impressed. After she finished my nails she asked if I wanted red glitter over some of the red polish, I said yes, she then put PINK polish over the red nails - completely ruined the look.

I have gel manicures done every 2 weeks anz I never have the polish coming off (keep in mind I’m cleaning and working etc. when I have these done at home, on holiday I was doing much less). The polish came off my nails within 1 day and my nails broke.

Really disappointing given the price I paid - would not recommend :(
