On December 13, 2024 we were excited to receive our tempurpedic mattress from the mattress firm. Couldn’t wait to sleep on it and my wife was excited to sleep in a bed again, due to a severe back issue she has been forced to sleep on a massage table. For my wife, the mattress was an immediate no go. The mattress had no edge support which was different from the mattress we tested out at the store. My immediate issue was, as i lay on the mattress I could feel it sagging, causing my body to lean towards the side of the bed which would cause me to have to readjust and shift my body more towards the center of the mattress. I knew there was something wrong but I thought I would give it more of a chance (as we paid more than $4k) hoping things would change, they didn’t. About 18 days in I called mattress firm and explained my issues. Charles was really helpful, concerned and accommodating (or so I thought). He offered us an even exchange for the beauty rest black (similar price). He assured me that the same warranty would apply and he would have it delivered right away and they would take the tempurpedic back. He assured us that if it didn’t work out he would give us a full refund. Today, January 7, 2025 the new mattress was set to arrive. I prepared the mattress for pick up and viewed nothing changed from when they originally delivered it (still brand new). The delivery guys “third party” arrived, we left them to it. We noticed it was taking longer then before and they informed us they were conducting an inspection of the tempurpedic and proceeded to tell us there is a blemish on the mattress which he attempted to show me on his phone. There was no visible stain in the picture on his phone. He admitted it was not visible in the photo so he pointed out the blemish on the mattress which was only visible if looked at when you positioned your head at a particular angle. He advised numerous times that he is a third party and there is nothing he could do but he was told by his people he could not take the mattress and replace it with the beauty rest. The delivery guys swiftly left my house, not allowing us the opportunity to contact the store as he directed. I called mattress firm immediately after they left and “Sheree” advised to give her 10 minutes and she would hopefully stop the delivery drivers. She called back staying there it’s nothing she could do , and there is no one else I could talk to , about our $4300.00 mistake in purchasing from mattress firm. Now we own a $4300.00 paper weight. To her I say that I appreciate you, but she wasn't the salesperson who sold me the bed. I have called multiple times and only once have I been able to catch him by luck bc he answered the phone, to which he said he would call me back that day... that was over 2 weeks ago. Communication people, it's not that hard!
In response to the reply from the owner, Mr. Molenrich was financing a portion of the mattress that had been returned, and I had paid the other portion of that out right. Also, he, to the best of my knowledge got a lesser mattress to accommodate what he was approved for. I was originally told a year ago that I was to receive a check for my portion. Also left my contact info EVERY TIME I called. Also offered to drive hours to bring my then DEBIT card I used on that purchase(and bank statements to prove that). NO ONE has contacted me ONCE!
