Star Cinemas — Local services in Lake Havasu City

Okay, we knocked down one star because our review is gone and it has been a while (more than a couple years) since we have gone. We have probably seen around 50 movies at was called Ultra Star Cinema in Lake Havasu City. Somewhere along the way, ownership changed. It became Star Cinemas. There were days, Tuesdays if I am correctly remembering, you could go for $5 all day long. This was a terrific reprieve for us in the hotter months of the year as Lake Havasu City is limited to what you can do safely, especially in those hot months. Star Cinema is located in the Shops of Lake Havasu, which, unfortunately, has very few stores and zero restaurants?? Back when we went, there was a restaurant we would often frequent. We would go to the Chicago Grill first or afterward. We were saddened to hear the owner passed. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. The splash pad was also enjoyed by the kids in their younger years. What sets Star Cinemas apart from Movies Havasu is its size and proximity to what was a shopping area, but part of which will feature an ambulatory center? We have little knowledge about that, but at least the people who live on the north side and just outside of Lake Havasu City will have medical options out this way. If the management and upkeep is still at least as good as when we regularly watch 🎬 here, we would recommend. It is only 1 of 2 options in Lake Havasu City. There is more bathrooms, it's close to retail shopping and a couple big name standalone stores. It's removed from some of the craziness that can be Lake Havasu City. It is close to...

saw a movie at 8:00 last night with my girlfriend and the movie it's self was fine. Now, i live in lake havasu and i know people use the A.C. for most of their buildings but it was just getting colder and colder. The Girl working the concession was rude and didn't like the fact that i asked her to show me the size of the icee cups that were for some reason in the back? i proceeded to get a large popcorn and a large cup for soda. Finally we got to the movie and it was so cold in there! we sat at the very top and the theater was empty until a very loud and obnoxious couple sat right by us. We eventually had to move to the very bottom thinking we wouldn't hear them but were heard them clear as day. They were laughing and talking the ENTIRE movie... should would be okay if it were a comedy, but it was paranormal activity. then after the movie we got a refill of our drink and wanted a popcorn refill. But we couldn't because there wasn't any more popcorn. Having worked there previously i know that they keep a barrel of the popcorn in the back.... and even THAT i'd have been fine with but the same concession girl was there and said she didn't make any more popcorn and wouldn't. I paid for this popcorn so i could get a free refill after the movie but its not as promising as you'd hope. We came to Lake Havasu for vacation and we bought tickets online to see a movie at 9:45 PM. When we walked in, not a single person greeted us, we walked up to the counter and asked if we could get something from concessions and the rude boy at the counter said "not really" and went about his business...what kind of theater doesn't allow people to get popcorn when they are still showing movies? Then we walked over to the area where people usually scan your tickets and there was nobody around, we had to find an employee and ask if they needed to scan our tickets. After we had the tickets scanned, we went to our theater and found some seats, at that point, the movie screen was blank and there was only music playing (we were already 15 minutes late) we sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for the movie to start and nothing happened, not even previews. At this point the movie was supposed to start 25 minutes ago so we went and found an employee to tell them that the movie had not started, they told us they would look into it and a few minutes later the movie did start, there were no previews or anything, I thought they had started the movie in the middle of it because of how abruptly it had started.
