The Shops At Lake Havasu — Local services in Lake Havasu City

The mall security here tends to be needlessly argumentative and confrontational. Came to get my car later than intended. Security guy wouldn't listen when first off I told him I wasn't leaving it parked. Wouldn't give me a few minutes just to look up some directions, insisted on arguing, being highly presumptuous instead of listening to anything, and thoroughly confrontational. With security like that, might as well leave a car overnight. I resent the totally uncalled for harassment and problems just for getting your car late. Should be better than not at all, and they should appreciate it. This was the late shift, 1am hour and after.

Also, the Walmart has serious customer appreciation problems, as do many stores at Havasu (yes not too surprising for Walmart). When I was there, I overheard a customer who was making a large purchase was turned away due to some inflexible petty rule. And supposedly security will harass you sometimes for still being in the parking lot just 10 minutes after closing, one employee said. I wouldn't be...

We like the PetSmart here, it's been there for maybe 15 years (?) so hardly brand new, but far from old and it seems to be kept up well.

The Shops At Lake Havasu underscore how the bricks and mortar retail places are overall struggling. Most of the suites have sat empty.

The movie theater, the first ten years it was open, felt clean overall. The staff was largely friendly. Those that were less friendly were at least still okay to deal with for the small amount of time in which you needed to interact with them.

There was a maternity shop there near Dillards for a short while that has since closed.

There was a clothing store for women near Walmart that has since closed as well.

There is still a Game Stop close to the movie theaters and possibly still a sporting goods store.

There is a JCPennys that has an okay selection of items and as possibly still check out options available at both the front and back...

Not enough open stores!!! It doesn't feel like a mall. When I go here, I go for a specify store and I don't shop around at the other stores. It's too inconvenient. The stores that are open are too spaced out. I wish it was enclosed with a food court. I think more people would go "hang out at the mall" and spend money if it was enclosed. I know I would. The location is really inconvenient. If it wasn't for the only Walmart in town being here, I don't think this mall would survive. There is currently a JCPenny, Maurices, Famous Footwear, and Dillards at this mall. Sorry if I missed a store. There have been more but some closed. There is also a movie theater and a Wet Clam restaurant (which I have not tried). I'm not sure if the mattress store is still open and another building was being built out there last I saw.
