My husband and I had a ceremony at Vintage Villas on June 1st. I praise the quality of service we received from the catering people in Travis Room. The venue is very pretty and the dinner was excellent, including many of the customizations we requested.||||However, I must point out how incompetent their event managers are. I can see great potential in Vintage Villas to be a much better wedding venue if only their event management team were more competent.||||Prior to choosing Vintage Villas, we have communicated with many venues around the area, and we were blown away by their communication and organization skills despite not having signed anything. Unfortunately, Vintage Villas was not one of those. For many reasons, we had to choose Vintage Villas and the whole 5 months of planning was truly disastrous to the extent we seriously discussed switching the venue even after paying our deposit and mailing invitations.||||I think a wedding is all about details, however, I don't know how many times my husband and I had to repeatedly inform or ask questions to Katie, the director of sales. When we asked for photos or details about things, such as the Travis Room audio system, Katie was unable or unwilling to provide them, making our preparations much more difficult. Katie was often combative during the planning process. Rather than acknowledge mistakes, she would attempt to blame us for her incompetence, whether it was forgetting a detail or not knowing how to email photos. Despite having all the requirements and information, she repeatedly reset details to default. As a result, we had to dig through old emails in the last two weeks before the wedding to prove to Katie what we had requested. By then, we already had enough to deal with on our own. This was a nightmare.||||Erika showed up to our rehearsal with an old version of the final planning form. Even on the day of the wedding, we had still not received our final version of planning. Some of the details for catering were missing and served incorrectly, even contrary to the old version it seemed everyone was executing from. Erika, who was designated as a coordinator for a day, disappointed us by disappearing when she was to direct the family to walk the aisle at the end of the ceremony, resulting in some very awkward confusion.||||I didn't know that Katie would be absent until I attempted to contact her on the day of the rehearsal, only to receive an automatic out of office reply, and I still have not heard from her. 2 days before the ceremony we received an unexplained charge. Even now, more than a month after the ceremony, I still have not received an invoice. Since we do not have the finalized planning form nor the receipt, I have no idea what it might be for. Accurate invoicing is a basic expectation for event coordination for any type of occasion. The event management at your venue is an absolute disappointment.||||I wrote this to the GM directly via email and still had not...
Read moreThis review is only relative to Hotel Service and NOT on Events/Weddings held in the resort. The use of ticket for buffet breakfast was not communicated, though Aaron the front desk staff who was there when we checked-in on Aug 25 (CEO's birthday) was very accommodating and had shown an excellent customer relation . Unfortunately, on the 26th, our 3 family members ( 74, 76, 78 years old) were embarrassed when the Front Desk Manager, Daya Justus interrupted them in the middle of their breakfast and asked them to pay $16 each and citing that their free breakfast was on the next day. Our 3 elderly family members were mistakenly regarded as part of a wedding entourage (other group) who were booked for a free breakfast on the next day as insisted by the manager. Our family members' explanation were not accordingly heard and so they were highly embarrassed by the front desk manager's actuation.(The group's accommodation e.i. room and food were taken cared all together as informed during check in and no one has communicated about a meal ticket for breakfast). Moreover, the inappropriate approach by the front desk manager who happen to rudely interrupt the guests while eating in the restaurant have ruined the day particularly the birthday entourage' mood. Put simply, the situation was poorly handled by Ms Daya to the extent that the guests were embarrassed, upset, and frustrated. When we asked to speak to the management, it was aggravated Ms Daya's defensive, rude, dismissive, and discriminating attitude making it appear that the elderly guests were not truthful of their story and that she ( Daya) was not sure if she was understood by them- the tone was like the guests did not understand English. She was told that the guests spoke english well and one was even teaching English for more or less 30 years. Her reply was " Oh I didn't know that". Ms Daya went to the concerned guests' room and supposedly apologized but it was NOT heartfelt. She dismissed the soft spoken 74 yr old family member talking to her and just disrespectfully left. She also did it to us twice. We understand that a process can sometimes be missed and glitches on communication may happen. But what is NOT understandable nor acceptable is when a service business staff much more a front desk manager will approach their own deficiency in a rude, discriminating, and dismissive manner. All customers/guests deserve a courteous, respectful, and non-discriminating treatment regardless of age, race, status in the society. We requested to have a conference call with the Proprietor and General Manager Thomas today who spoke to us with professionalism and humility. We are thankful to him for the fruitful discussion and we are hoping that the hotel's customer service will be improved and that Ms Daya's attitude will not be experienced by other future customers.

Read moreI wish you could review Vintage Villas Events separately from Vintage Villas Hotel because I have a different opinion of the two. Overall, our wedding day was perfect at Vintage Villas - mostly because Sam, our coordinator at VV Events, was INCREDIBLE - girl does literally anything and everything to make your day PERFECT.
Vintage Villas Events - I totally give the venue and its coordinators 5 Stars - I'd give more if they existed! My husband and I live 1,000 miles away, but Samantha made our planning process so easy and was there whenever we had any questions or requests. The venue itself is just beautiful, overlooking Lake Travis, all the landscaping was so pretty in full bloom in April, and the weather couldn't have been better (I know these are things out of their control, but just had to say it). The waitstaff at the venue was also so attentive to us the entire reception - always had full plates of food and never an empty glass! The FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE...seriously the best brussels sprouts you'll ever eat. We got so many compliments on our wedding food - this chef deserves high praises.
Vintage Villas Hotel - our experience with the hotel side of things was a bit more complicated, overall I still would give them 4 stars, but the main women at the front desk for the hotel really needs to learn some organizational skills. We booked an entire Villa for our wedding party to stay in for multiple nights during our wedding weekend - which this is really cool they allow this and was such a convenience for our bridal party and us for our entire wedding weekend. However, there were many errors when it came to our bridal party and their room reservations. They had other people's credit cards on wrong rooms, they had couples mix matched in wrong rooms, and one couple even had to stay in one room one night and then check into another room another night because they messed up their reservation (they ended up comping a night due to the inconvenience). We attempted to stay on top of these errors so that no one would have to worry upon checking in days before the wedding, but we constantly had to send multiple emails or call many times before we heard back. We also received a rooming list for a completely different wedding when we requested our rooming list one time - yikes! With all these errors being said, most of them were fixed ahead of time before any of our guests checked in, but the head ache and time we spent trying to get everything correct never should have been that hard in the first place. The rooms were overall very nice though, clean, and the late night front desk manager, Aaron, was fantastic! We had an afterparty at the Villa we booked out and had pizzas delivered around 11pm - he took them to the villa, brought in a big trash can for us and just made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Shout out to Aaron for making VV Hotels a good...
