Quality Inn & Suites University — Hotel in Laramie

A nice room and good amenities. Good location for Laramie. I stayed for two weeks, was told when checking in that I would receive housekeeping every three days. Got it three days after checkin but then did not receive it again for over a week. By the time I called the room should have gotten housekeeping two more times. Called the front desk and they said they were short staffed and skipped it and would have it done the day I called. Come back to the room at 6:00pm with no housekeeping done. My trash had piled up, no more soap, ran through the towels. I get if Memorial Day weekend messed things up but when I'm told it would be taken care of and it isn't it's just frustrating especially considering it was supposed to have happened two time since the first time I actually got housekeeping. I was told extended stay have it done every three days or by request, neither were done. I went to the desk that day and got more soap and a new towel and asked to have housekeeping again the next day. I went to the desk the next day to double check that my room would be done and was told it wasn't done the day before because "there were 14 rooms that needed cleaned" but mine was not one of them apparently. My room was finally cleaned which I appreciate. The rest of the stay was good, moved to a different hotel after my initial 2 weeks.

Breakfast is good if your only staying one to a few night but gets old longer than that. The same thing everyday, which I understand, just for people looking to stay longer. And the older attendant busts his butt to make sure things are full which is very...

We were actually have no complaint about our one-night stay at Comfort Inn-Laramie on July 4, 2015. The issue was the credit card was charged 3 times for a one-night stay (passed through Laramie from Fort Collins to Salt Lake City). One night was refunded, so the credit card was still charged for 2 nights. I reported the incident to the credit card company to investigate. Tracy Malone responded to the credit card company that we did not cancel and a "room was held until 7am the following morning"... but the thing is, we actually checked in and stayed for 1 night. I decided to call the hotel myself on Aug 18 and asked for Tracy, but apparently she is not available and Wayne looked into my record and I was told that the credit card will be refunded for 1-night. The following day (Aug 19), I checked my credit card transaction and found out that instead of a refund, the card has a pending transaction charging for another night! So I called the hotel again and talked to Wayne about it. Wayne told me that he will check with the banker. Today, Aug 20, I called the hotel again and was placed on hold for 10 mins and when I was able to talk to Wayne, I was told that he still have not heard from the banker and will call me back. This is very frustrating not to get a resolution for a simple correction. I hope to hear back from Tracy or Wayne and let me know that this issue...

Overall, this was a pleasant place to stay. One thing that bothered me was the fitness room. I used the fitness room on four different days. During that time, the trash was not emptied and I doubt that any staff members did any cleaning in there. I wanted to watch tv while I worked out, but, when I tried to turn it on, all it did was say that it didn't have a signal. It was my error that I didn't bring that to the attention of the staff, though. The last day, the air conditioner wasn't working in the fitness room and there was water in the carpet in front of it. Another mild irritation was the placement of the wardrobe in the room. There was a place beside the sink that would have accommodated it, but it was put in the far corner. That meant that every time we wanted to hang up or get our coats, we had to go to the far corner of the room, which was inconvenient. Otherwise, we were happy with the accommodations. The room was clean, the breakfast area was pleasant, the breakfast that was offered had a variety, I enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and appreciated the towels provided there, there was a good variety of equipment in the fitness room and it worked, the amenities in the room (microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, etc.) were useful and worked, the motel was peaceful and quiet and the staff was very friendly...
