The grounds behind the hotel are beautiful and pretty peaceful, even with the 6-lane road out front. It's a newer hotel, so it is very clean. However, the doors, walls and floors are so thin I can smell the cleaning solution they used in the lobby. I can hear the family above me tromping around like a herd of elephants. I'm on the first floor and the wind noise around my door, presumably when other customers enter the front door) is like I'm sitting in a wind tunnel. I'm not sure who designed this building, but it's not nearly as good as the Hilton and Hampton Inn hotels I generally stay in.
To top it off, an unattended dog across the hall whines so badly that I had to say something to the front desk (which I hated to do as I am a dog lover who travels with a medical service dog). Thankfully my young service dog (2.5 years) is pretty well trained so my "leave it" command is enough to keep him from barking back.
The two young men working tonight are very kind and responsive. I really appreciate their kindness.
If you are a light sleeper or are sensitive to strong scents, I would find someplace else to stay. Otherwise, it's clean and new; it just needs more solid insulation between...
Read moreThe room is super nice and clean- they have food options like snacks and frozen meals downstairs and coffee 24/7. It was wonderful. It’s brand new so you can smell the new scent lol. Very clean and staff is super nice. The only thing is I like the heat at 74-76 and it doesn’t get hot. I’m in room 303 and the air will throw out heat for 10-15 then change to cool cold air and I couldn’t deal with it. The water temp in the shower is good. When I called the front desk I was told it’s funny and to wait and mess with it. While I did wait for two hours since checking in. Then I went downstairs to ask to change rooms the front desk seems confused and said let me see. I got to my room and the heat had started working again, so I called downstairs and said it was OK but to no surprise 10 minutes later the heat stopped working. Long story short I ended up buying a portable heater from Home Depot. That worked out just fine. They were gonna send maintenance to my room, but I honestly think it’s the issue with the...
Read moreThe room was spotless and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, there are a few negatives about my particular experience. Firstly, there was a fire alarm that was going for about 1/2 hour, and no fire was detected. Second issue, noisy people passing through the halls between 1-2 am. The sound proofing is non existent. The couple next door had their toddler running around making lots of noise at 5:30, not respecting the other visitors. Then those same neighbors started cooking their food around 7 am, banging pots and dishes, and speaking loudly. The door that allows for adjoining rooms allowed noise and strong scents from their ethnic seasonings to penetrate my room. More lost sleep and a not too pleasant odor that took over the room. Bring your earplugs if you’re going to book here. Or get an end room far from the elevator and make sure there is no access door for an adjoining...
