There are three things I look forward to when staying at a hotel: a nice shower with hot water a gym to get a work out in and TV to keep me entertained while away on business
None of these boxes were checked and I paid almost $200 for a king bed bedroom.
The shower only got too warm and was not able to get to a hot temperature which was really frustrating. I mentioned it to the staff and they really didn't seem to care much and said they could do some things and then never did. Also, there's some weird black fungus looking thing building up on the edges of the shower.
I woke up in the morning to get a workout at the gym and the gym door didn't work. The staff said the maintenance people will fix it when they get in. They didn't get in until late morning and the time pass for a workout.
The TV would not connect and would turn off randomly every now and then. I ended up giving up and just watching something on my phone. Pretty disappointing. It's a nice big TV but it doesn't work! Again, the staff responded and said they could do something but never did.
I was really disappointed with the staff which is usually one of my more positive experience with Marriott properties. The night manager that checked me in was quiet and his shirt looked like it came out of a pile of laundry. The day manager wasn't much better as she was always absent. She was either outside in the back, or somewhere else. I think that was one of the big problems with getting service requests.
I went out and I looked at the breakfast area and nothing looked that appetizing with some things looking uneatable. It's sad because this hotel is a very convenient location for my business but I think I'm going to book somewhere further away and take chances with another hotel from here on out.
You could tell that the hotel has potential but it seems like it's being neglected and will continue to spiral downward.
PS. I stay in 100 plus Marriott properties every year and have a pretty good feel of the quality of this...

The treadmill has a short in the video monitor. It keeps turning off while one runs. No one bothered to fix this issue during the week of my stay. No towels available on any of the days I visited the fitness center. A box of Kleenex? How about a channel guide? Asking too much?
Interesting policy of blaming “Marriott” for only providing housekeeping after the 3rd day and then every other day of a stay. I stay more than 100 days a year in hotels, most are Marriotts. Marriott does not set the housekeeping schedule, that’s up to the local property. Some provide it every day, some every other day. The third day routine is a new one. Someone dropped off towels once during the week I stayed. The math did not work out for me.
For some reason, the toilet was not bolted to the floor. Have to say, that is a new one for me. I reported it, but no one bothered to fix the problem. Every time the toilet moved from its base, sewer gas was vented into the bathroom. The shower was icky. Someone was saving money on hot water as well. I am not a fan of really hot showers, but this one can be turned to the hottest setting and it’s only lukewarm.
The roach in the stairwell was an added touch.
Want to laundry. Forget it. Cost cutting shows everywhere. From a lack of housekeeping to poor maintenance and lack of hot water. Very unfortunate, as this location is convenient for my business meetings. The best suggestion is to stay in Turkey Creek, not...

The reason I'm giving the room only 3 stars is because it cost more than $350 but was incredibly humid, and also the shower didn't have anything in the bottom of it to prevent slipping and I almost fell. The temperature was fine, but sitting on the beds or chairs for a few seconds would result in me getting up with damp pants. The reason for this is probably that the intake and filters for the air conditioning unit were both clogged with dust. There was no one from room service there to help me clean them. Cleaning this stuff should be part of bi-monthly or quarterly maintenance when you run a hotel. If you cheap out on stuff like this, your hotel is going to slowly degrade. If you're charging $350+ for a room, I better not have to deal with it being practically damp from all the humidity, and I shouldn't need to worry about my safety in the bathroom.
The lady at the front desk was very patient, personable, and helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly good and had a lot of variety. Everything seemed pretty clean. We didn't use the gym or the pool, so no comment on those. Checkout was at a good time, so we didn't have to wake up too early to worry about that. Overall, our stay was a good one, but it was not worth what we were charged. Oh, and the internet was out and apparently has been for weeks. Just eat the maintenance costs. It's part of...
