Booked ahead of time for one night while passing through. Convenient location, lots of food and shopping choices near by. First impression of outside was nice. Looked fairly new and well maintained. First impression of lobby area was new/clean, very modern. Desk staff during checkin and checkout were pleasant. Even though I paid at the time of booking, they collected a deposit , but it was only $30, which I joked about. Not sure what anyone would do with $30 but maybe but maybe buy a snack, lol. Lobby area women’s restroom was a single bathroom, clean and well stocked with feminine supplies which I had not seen at other hotels. Left me excited about my hotel choice if I was this impressed with a restroom. However, got to 2nd floor via stairwell and as soon as we opened the door to the level, immediately smelled like weed. Oh well, I see reviews of this problem when reading hotel reviews. Entered room which was very small/tight. Was Very Warm. Went to thermostat which read 76 degrees. Tried to bump it down, but found it was already on lowest setting, 66 degrees. I thought maybe it had some new high tech feature where maybe it didn’t kick on until it knew it was occupied somehow and might cool off. Floor has appearance of being luxury vinyl, but is actually fabric/ carpet, it was stained in a spot that I first thought was blood, but upon closer inspection was chocolate. Everything else looked very clean except the ledges in the shower, (which I think were just stained). Shower pressure was wonderful, and water was hot, but did smell a bit extra chlorinated to me. Bathroom has a large lighted mirror and they had Dove brand pump hand soap and lotion next to sink. Shower had Dove brand pump shampoo, conditioner and body wash, wish I appreciated greatly. I didn’t have kids with me, but the pump heads on these products are not curved, they are straight and narrow causing the product to shoot straight out. Had it been a younger child, it would have gone straight in the eye. Maybe this review will help families with young children avoid that. The bed was SUPER comfortable! The pillows are average. Each side of the bed had two pillows which were different kinds. One kinda flat, but somewhat soft, but the better pillows were the ones underneath which are fluffy and maybe a down mixture. If there were two of them it would have been better. Sheets extremely soft and comfortable. Newer TV had personalized welcome screen with my name and allowed you to cast using your phone to stream from your apps and had instructions to do so. Did have a hard time figuring out how to disconnect, when I closed my app, it was still playing. Noise from hall was almost as if these people were in your room. Was awakened at some point during the night to loud people in the hall and you could hear each time a door room shut. Had to cover alarm clock light bc it was very bright. Had dreams about broken air conditioners and woke up in the morning to see the room never cooled off but the unit ran constantly and there was a puddle of water all over the floor indicating it was broken. Breakfast had fruit, Greek yogurt, cereal, bagels and mini muffins. Coffee machine uses beans. Overall a good experience and could have probably looked past all the smaller inconveniences if the AC would...
Read moreLast summer I stayed at the Holiday Inn right down the street and was very impressed. This time they were full so we chose this IHG hotel instead. The good is that it was cheaper than the regular holiday inn, has breakfast, is very clean, staff is nice and friendly except the one person who checked us in. She wasn't super helpful and up to IHG standards. I liked being able to sit outside for breakfast and on the outdoor couches in the evenings. I love that 1 block away is a bike/walking path and the gym is very decent for its size. The hotel was pretty quiet even over the weekend when it was full. The TV was easy to use and there were plenty of outlets to charge the things we charge these days.
The cons were that we stayed here for 8 nights and this hotel is not set up for this. The rooms are small and crowded. There are no drawers to unpack a suitcase and only room to set up a carry on suitcase to live out of. For a night or 2 this place is fine. I couldn't get comfortable with the AC it was either too hot or too cold. The water pressure was low in the shower. If all you need to do is shower and sleep, grab a bagel and split then stay here. If you want anything more then I recommend a different choice. I wish the IHG website did a better job explaining the different chains in their group so we could have avoided this hotel as not a good fit. I think it was the manager I saw working hard with her staff to keep the common areas clean and stocked during breakfast with a big smile. Like I said earlier, nice...

The staff is BEYOND amazing! We stayed here several nights while waiting to close on a house. When I arrived with my 2 month old & 17 month old (and without my husband to help), the staff went out of their way not only to help me carry all our supplies up to our room, but to help calm my children while we got settled in. Since we were moving from out of town, we didn't have many places to do during the day. The staff was SO friendly and interactive with my kids when we needed to hang out in the lobby for some fresh scenery.
The manager was the nicest person I've ever met! We had booking complications that resolved in our favor. Then we had to extend our stay at the last minute during one of the busiest times of the year and she made sure we were taken care of. She went above and beyond to accommodate us and I am so grateful!
Rooms are decent size. We had a plumbing issue while we were there, but I called the front desk and they sent someone up to fix it immediately. Cleaning staff does a great job. Solid breakfast options. Gym is nice. Location is super convenient!
I've traveled a lot and I've never had a better experience at a hotel. Will HIGHLY recommend this specific hotel to anybody I know who needs a hotel...
