My husband and I recently tried both mattress firm locations today on Black Friday. The first location we went to was this location on 5416 Sunset Blvd by the Panera. We were NOT impressed. The sales guy we met came off extremely arrogant, rude, and was far from personable from the start. Unfortunately we never caught his name, but nor did we care after we never felt welcomed. Additionally, anything we said or showed him such as online deals I saw or making a joke about the $99 delivery fee had a condensing answer back. He also acted like the other Mattress Firm location was not as good as the one he was working at. We knew we still wanted a mattress, but we were not going to give him our business. I even told him I was prequalified for one amount and he acted like because I didn’t apply right away, I would most likely get a lesser amount once I applied. He was not positive at all. I then went to the car, hit apply on the website and was actually approved for triple the original amount I told him. (His loss after his attitude!)
So this is when my husband and I went across the street to the 5549 Sunset Blvd location and we instantly felt welcomed. Jennifer is who helped us, but her and her coworker that worked today were both extremely nice. We purchased a mattress that was upgraded even more than what we were originally looking at, along with purchasing an awesome adjustable bed frame with it. My full experience with the 5549 location is left as a 5 star review on their page, but my advice is to just go straight to the 5549 location for your mattress...
Read moreWent to mattress firm today and purchased a queen size mattress for my mom’s guest bedroom. I knew exactly what I wanted because I have the same mattress in my son’s room. Scott Bouknight was very short when I first walked in. Once he found out that what I wanted was less then $200, and there would be no need to try and “sale” me on anything his attitude got extremely worst. He became condescending, rude and have even a shorter attitude with me. He asked if I had a truck and I replied yes, and proceeded to go get the mattress, which I thought was in a box. When inquired about having it delivered, he replies “that’s why I asked you if you had a pickup truck, not an suv.” He then goes to take my mattress outside and tosses it against my vehicle and says “there you go” walks back inside without a thank you or anything as if I owe him something when I’m paying his salary/ commission. Had I paid in cash I would’ve asked for a refund but waiting on my bank to issue a refund is time consuming. I’m not sure if it was because I wasn’t spending $500+, my race, if it was a Sunday and he didn’t feel like being there or all of the above. But if you go to this location avoid Scott Bouknight...
Read morePurchased a mattress on Thursday from the Lexington, SC store, the sales team was eager to help and sell me on a mattress that was supposedly in stock in their local warehouse and could be delivered on Sunday between noon and 3PM. Get a call at 1PM letting me know the mattress isn't available and won't be available for nearly a week. If you are looking to purchase a mattress don't expect that the sales people will know what is in the warehouse and what is not. It is obvious that the inventory system they use is not very accurate. Needless to say I will be heading out to other stores today and tomorrow taking some Columbus day mattress sales to see if I can find a comparable mattress that the retailer has in stock. If so I will be canceling this order. If you are going to sell me on availability at least make sure the item is available and not wait until the delivery day, an hour in the delivery time window, to call and tell me otherwise. On a positive note at least they did call and inform me that the delivery would not...
