Was glad to see a new place in town, and the food was pretty decent… However, they were advertising a promo here on Google that I elected to order, but was instead charged full price… When I asked the waitress about this, she told me that since I had already paid, she could not change the price to the promo price, and said that I needed to “mention a code“ when ordering (although I did order the exact items of the promo, even referring to the promo graphic that was online when I placed the order.)
As I said, pretty good food, and the folks working there were nice enough, but this was a significant blender and was not handled properly by the restaurant… they need to take care of their customers better than this, especially considering that this customer had “pre-tipped” them 25%, assuming they would correct their error and give me the promotional price that I went there for. 2 stars for a customer service fail that should never happen in the service industry.
EDIT: yeah, I’m just gonna reduce this right down to a one star review since the owner found it appropriate to respond and let this customer know what “I should’ve done”… In fact, I did refer to the promo when ordering. In fact, the counter person DID tell me, several times, that there was no way to give me the promo price, and only yelled “wait“ after I was already walking out of the place after she refused to simply correct the problem several times. Also, I really wasn’t that angry at all, despite my “gentlemanly“ appearance or not, but was rather politely pointing out your mistake… As a person with a bunch of experience in the service industry, I can definitively say that you screwed up here, and the best thing for you to do is own up to it, rather than making assumptions about your customer and letting me know what I did...
Read more26 Pho Boba in Lexington offers a delightful fusion of Asian cuisines with a modern twist. My recent visit left me impressed with the quality of the food, innovative service, and inviting atmosphere. We started with the chili oil dumplings, which were a highlight. The dumplings were perfectly cooked, boasting a great flavor profile and generously coated in a vibrant chili oil that added just the right amount of heat. Next, the shumai was equally impressive—fresh, plump, and bursting with flavor, especially when paired with the accompanying dumpling dipping sauce, which elevated the dish to another level. The Korean fried chicken wings with soy garlic glaze were a crowd-pleaser. Crispy, piping hot, and coated in a savory-sweet glaze, they delivered a satisfying crunch and robust flavor that made them irresistible. For the main course, the beef bulgogi hot bibimbap was a comforting and flavorful dish. The tender, well-marinated beef paired beautifully with the fresh vegetables and sizzling rice, creating a balanced and delicious meal. A unique feature of 26 Pho Boba is its use of a robot to deliver food to tables, which adds a fun and futuristic touch to the dining experience. The service was attentive and efficient, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit. The menu also offers a variety of Vietnamese dishes, including pho, and an array of bubble tea options, catering to diverse tastes. Overall, 26 Pho Boba delivers a fantastic dining experience with high-quality food, excellent service, and a modern flair. It’s a must-visit for anyone in Lexington craving bold Asian flavors in a...
Read moreI worked at the service industry for over 20 years, totally understand about the service charge and being a server is not easy. That’s why I am usually cool with that, and I even tip more if the server did great job. The problem was they put an automatic 20% gratuity on my bill when there were NO services AT ALL beside taking our orders and bringing the food to our table. We had 5 adults and a baby. Didn’t bother to bring us the high chair, I had to go get it myself. When we were ordering our food, I ask the server if I can exchange pho noodles for the vermicelli noodles, he just told me NO immediately, didn’t even bother to ask the kitchen or the manager. Few minutes later, the other guy (I assume he is the owner or manager) came up to me and asked if I need anything, and I told him my request, he was willing to change for me. After we finished the appetizers I asked the server if she could clear out the table because I had my little one year old baby with me and I didn’t want her to break anything. Surprisingly! She walked away, came back few minutes later and told me that there’s napkins on the table and I can clean it myself! WOW!!!!! A server ask the customer to clean the table when they put 20% automatic service charge on the bill? This is something I’ve never heard in my life. For all the restaurant I worked at, I’ve never told to ask the customer to clean the table. This is wayyyyy too ridiculous and totally unacceptable! The one star is actually for the kitchen and food. The food was decent, if I ever go back, I would just get it to go. AVOID...
