Travelodge by Wyndham Lincoln Northeast — Hotel in Lincoln

I've been coming here since I was a kid. It was the hottest spot for pool parties for my birthday! I even worked/lived here in my early 20s! That's about when the current owner bought it. He got right to putting poor rooms out of commission and getting to work on them. I know the hotel was bought with lots of issues and then covid hit and that was a hard time for everyone. Me and my best friend recent became homeless and we've been here for about 2 weeks and I'm pleased to see the hotel made it thru the covid phase and progress is still being made! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I talked to the owner himself and when the desk staff was busy he offered to jump right onto the front desk and get my stay extended. Our stay has been quiet and really a blessing. Without their affordable prices it would have been a very very cold season for us in my car or worse. I was happy to see they got slots in the lobby as well! I'm excited to see where this momentum takes the hotel and when all said is done I'd like it to be a place my kids have future birthday parties like I did when...

Arrived in Lincoln NE this afternoon and went to the Travelodge to check in. Here were some of my observations:

if I need a U haul I wonder if I get a discount for renting a room the repairs to replace the parking lot probably cost more than the facility as a whole the bed sheet curtains on that one room probably cost extra the condensation tube from the lobby ceiling unit running down to the floor and into the men's room drain is probably just put there that afternoon and the repairs will be in the morning why is there a room refrigerator sitting on top of the communal trash bin? It's keeping people from putting all the trash in there. That is why it's on the ground next to it .. piling up getting a blanket must be extra. one lamp in the room the toilet seat is jacked up. Probably because someone stands on it a lot. They do that to be able to move ceiling tiles out of the way. That way they have access to that busted up cinder block wall that opens to the next room. smoke detectors not included in room not sure if I would store my RV there just because it's...

Such a decent location for nothing but an not so decent experience. Started off fine. No I did not stay here but I did get the opportunity to hangout here. All throughout my time I tried to be as polite as possible. I asked before doing and apologized for speaking to some people because I felt as if I was bothering them. I tried my best to not bother anyone. I was simply trying to charge my phone and play some games on my phone. There was a gentlemen there that seems to have some inappropriate fantasies with other men and being a gay man myself, it’s was very uncomfortable. I go to leave and then received an even more inappropriate and uncomfortable text from a different guy, who I had met while there, telling me I’m no longer staying allowed on the property. I’m not sure if he is a manager, owner, employee or what… I did however get informed he is the front desk ladies boyfriend and her name was Justine. Definitely won’t be making this my destination. Instead I’ll find somewhere else to spend my money on for a long term temporary...
