EXTREMELY upset about our stay this weekend. My extended family booked 5 rooms in the hotel for one night. We were on the 3rd floor along with one other family in the room across the hall from us. We personally had a room for my husband, myself and 6 and 4 year old. We are respectful travelers and stay at very few hotels now because of airbnbs but because everyone was here we stay too. So the kids went to bed at about 10pm and I took a quick shower at 10:30, the spout to transfer the water to the shower was broken so the bath spout was filling up the bottom of the tub and draining slowly, supposedly this was when the front desk got a call from our neighbors (strangers) about the knocking (which was in the wall WE WERE ALL ASLEEp!!!!!) and I guess he knocked on our door that went unanswered BECAUSE WE WERE ASLEEP. and At about 1am the hotel room phone started ringing right next to my kids heads and thinking it was a fire alarm waking them up from being sound asleep they started screaming in terror. 20 minutes later after we were all back asleep and persistent banging on our door and it was a police officer doing a welfare check because the neighbors reported screaming. Half asleep and out of it we show that everyone was okay and he left. I was so upset I went downstairs to talk to the front desk where I was informed that the room next to us reported “knocking” coming from our room-I don’t know if it was the slow draining broken tub or old popping pipes in the wall (the room across from us that was in our party reported hearing that as well too) NOTHING WAS COMING FROM OUR ROOM AS WE WERE ALL ASLEEP!! It was sounds coming from the walls in their hotel!! So now we have two traumatized kids, two parents that got no sleep and had a horrible night at this hotel. When I talked to the front desk person at 2am I was told that the room was registered to one adult (because one person booked them all) and that at check in they usually update to correct numbers, at check in I was about 1 of 15 people checking in so that part was skipped by the staff NOT ME! But at 2am I was being blamed and woken ip by the police. At 10am this morning I went to the front desk (person who checked me in the day before) and she took responsibility for not checking us in but by then it was already too late. Nothing was offered to make up for our trouble. We will NEVER be back and will continue to share my experience with everyone thinking about staying in the Appleton area. Disgusted! (Pictures of my kids sleeping RIGHT Next to the phone that went off like an alarm at 1am) and the line ahead of me at check inn and there were MANY behind me as well.

Let me first start off by saying I would stay again. We stayed on a Friday night to Saturday morning during COVID. Rooms are plenty spacious. 2 queen suite had 2 beds at back of room then a door to be closed off from rest of room (great for sound control). Beds were comfortable and no complaints at all for sleeping. When you walk in room there is a decent size living area with a couch capable of being another pull out bed. TV in living area and in bedroom area. Shower is decent sized with a tub. Check towels BEFORE you take a shower. We came back from pool and started showers/baths to realize only 2 towels were in room. Went to front desk to request more and was given 2 then told they in short supply. How is a hotel in short supply of towels? Isn't that something you should have a ton of. Sound control was suprisingly good! I'm a super sensitive sleeper and only woke once to a kid in another room who likely had a nightmare. Dont even hear hallway noise when in bedroom area with extra door closed. TV volume can't go lower than 10, no idea why. A little frustrating when trying to keep quiet in one area with an early rising kid and let others sleep. Never seen a TV not be able to go as low as 1. Sink and toliet back up easily so must be some older plumbing that can't handle volume of hotel guests. We ended up needing to get a plunger from the front desk after using toliet twice (no #2). Wallpaper in bathroom is peeling in spots but overall bathroom was clean. Was told pack n plays would normally be available for use, however with COVID they may not be. So we ended up bringing our own just to make it easier. Limited outlets by beds so charging phones at night is a little tricky. Curtains are actually decent and block out any street light. Pool area was great. They do have a max capacity so you could end up waiting until others leave for your group to get in. Areas of pool are divided fairly well so that little kids were to one side and away from commotion of big kids. Water was warm enough to be in and out of. I even went in and I'm One to not go in cold pools. Jacuzzi is actually a decent size and shaped in a way 2 families can be in their own little cove. Masks are worn in halls and to pool but then removed in pool area. Luckily with COVID no outside pool guests allowed. Main hallway could use some new carpet as its Bunched up in places. Decent amount of parking (people just need to learn to park better). Plenty of food options extremely close by. Hotel was definitely filled, check in area was packed continously.

Stayed here for two nights. $472. Insane price for how disgusting this place is. Front desk people were always very kind but the hotel is old and nasty. Very dirty. The AC had some old squished pickles or something. I checked under the bunk beds to make sure we didn’t leave anything and omg, bad idea. I don’t know the last time they were cleaned. Breakfast area food is not that good either. Very crowded. Kids did have fun at the pool but again it was just dirty and crowded everywhere. People drinking beer at the pool too. Don’t stay here for sure.

We stayed here with family visiting for Christmas. Upon arrival the hotel was fully booked and multiple people were attempting to check in at once. Rooms were not ready upon arrival. We arrived at 5 and got 1 of our 2 rooms. Another family checking in before us was waiting still...they had 4 reserved and got 0. We got our 2nd room at 8 pm. We were able to go swim while we waited. The other family didn't get their last room till 9 pm. They were trying to have a Christmas gathering with small children. They were offered the party room to wait, but by the end they had small children waiting to go to bed.

The front desk staff was very unorganized in solving their major issue with rooms not being cleaned on time. No discounts were offered at this time. The night manager was very overwhelmed. He told us our 2nd room was ready and there was play dough ground into the floor and garbage still all over the room. The general manager however came in, with her family (teenage children and husband) and helped clean the remainder of the rooms efficiently and were very responsive to customer needs. They were much more efficient isn't at cleaning and their demeanor and how they spoke to customers. The night manager was quick to respond and didn't seem to be organized or empathetic. He was open with all the reasons why they were behind, but it wasn't a response empathetic to customer needs.

Overall we love this hotel, and while it wasn't the best experience, we chose to find the positives. I feel they need to address the issues with house cleaning and the night manager. The rest did their best. Also though, I am disappointed in humanity with how people left these rooms. When we rent a room, we put trash in the trash can and make sure any major messes are attempted to be cleaned. The room they offered that wasn't clean....it had playdough ground in, pizza on the floor, and liquids spilled on the floor. Come on people/hotel guests, just because they have cleaning g staff doesn't mean you leave them a disaster and be that disrespectful of the cleaner's time and the next guest's experience. Have a bit more respect for the place you are staying. I am sure workers cannot post this, but I can. I am not affiliated...
