Taste of the Windy City — Restaurant in Little Chute

My buddy Wayne and I have shops nearby this place. For nearly 2 years we went to subway and Culver’s every week. Then one day I decided to give this a shot and was blown away. Super good! For the same money that you pay for a foot long at subway you get way more food for here. So me and Wayne decided to get a deep dish pizza from here after a recommendation from Sarah the cashier. After we took the plunge and received it, then opened the box, we started upon over three pounds of pizza beauty.

Let me elaborate, it wasn’t just beautiful, it was the best we both me at age 34 and Wayne at over age 60 have ever had in our lives, and that’s saying a lot especially since both of us love pizza and have tried lots of them in the valley. I also have tried many in Chicago, and this still trumped it.

The sauce, amazing, not too sweet, not too tomatoey, the cheese was excellent. The dough was excellent. We didn’t want to stop eating it but we had to draw the line somewhere. So we gave the rest to some other guys who have a shop and they were just as impressed. Later that same week, it was Culver’s day, but we went for the windy city experience, and boy was that worth it. We got the gyro burger, and some cheeseburgers for the other guys down the way and we all stared in awe when we opened that aluminum foil.

Excellent bun, crisps veggies, excellent sauce and the like. If you are looking for something new to try and you want variety and good budget make way over to Taste of The Windy City. Be sure to call ahead, because they are in high demand around lunch time. Two...

Told the cashier that "I want what he's having" I wanted what my fiance was having (with was a meal) made the same way with hot peppers instead of sweet... Long story short a man behind the counter that didn't even take out order started arguing with me trying to tell me I ordered different from my fiance and i dont get fries and a soda like he got telling me " you said combo so you just got sandwich, you didn't say meal" (mind you when ordering I didn't say none of that I specifically and only said "Ill have what he's having. Rather that was a combo, or meal or watever you wanna call it just give me exactly what he's having witch had froes and fountain drink so thats what i should have neen giving, not what you(the cashier) wanted me to have.... Meanwhile the person who took my order agreed that I didn't go into specific about what i wanted, I just said in my exact words "Ill have what he's having". The man English was off. Needless to say the cashier made a mistake and the other guy to me if i wanted the drink and fries I'd have to pay for it! Money was not an issue... The issue was if your employees make those type of mistakes they shouldn't fault the customer and make them payout due to theor wrong doings, you fix what you messed up for free. After all it's not the customers fault that the business made an era. Another thing you don't do is go back and forth with your customers, (especially when they spend good money with you) the customer is always right. Ot could have definitely been handled differently and...

Visited 6/30/12 2:00PM. No acknowledgement or greeting upon entering restaurant or when ordering. Two employees working. Ordered gyro ($5.99) with onion rings and soda ($2.75).

Orders were prepared one at a time, so the overall wait time (10 mins) was much longer than expected. However, once preparation of my order started, it was ready quickly. Gyro was very good- nice portion, great onions and tomatoes. Onion rings were also pretty good, but portion size was a bit small – seven “rings.” Self-serve soda fountain met expectations.

A box fan was placed on the side counter near the soda machine blowing into the grill area – the blades and grille of the fan were covered with nasty fuzzy greasy dirt. Gross.

A portable stainless steel prep table in the grill area had a large green plastic flyswatter lying on top. Grosser. To be fair, there was no food prep happening on the “flyswatter table” at the moment. However, in general, I never want to see a flyswatter inside a restaurant. :) After prepping my order, the two employees certainly had time to take care of such details.
