Taco Tour Little Chute #34 Chips and salsa: Chips were thick and were very lightly salted/not salted. The chips left an oily residue in your mouth. The salsa was really good. It was a mix of pureed and chunky. It had a small amount of cilantro in it and had a really fresh taste. There was a nice amount of heat to it too - 3 Lime Margartia on the Rocks: The house margarita is a really good size. The margarita was exactly how you would want and expect a margarita to taste. Delicious - 5 Steak Taco: Flavor: 3 Fullness: 3 Appearance: 4 The steak in my taco had zero flavor which was very disappointing. My wife had some flavor to hers. The tortillas were very oily. Chicken Taco: Flavor: 5 Fullness: 3 Appearance: 4 The chicken was chopped and had nice grill marks. The chicken was really flavorful. Service: The server lacked in personality and his face showed how thrilled he was to be serving us. But food came out right and was quick - 3 We did order a side of creamy jalapeno avocado sauce for $0.99 which was sooo good and really helped my taco - 5 Give us a follow on Instagram @gbdiningdykes

First off, I have to say that going to a Mex Restaurant on Cinco de Mayo is probably a huge mistake and an adventure all in one. This was the case at El Jaripeo. It was crazy busy. I stood in line just to give our party name to get seated and the line just wasn't moving. I believe the hostess was just not managing the queue well. We did decide to stay and were seated probably with 15 minutes. I am attributing the slow service for ordering to our waiter saying he was new. But knowing that restaurants are short staffed and since we were seated and ready to celebrate my daughter's upcoming bridal shower, we were able to work with our "new" waiter, ordered, and our food actually came out pretty quick. So, note to self and other diners...just have some grace when going out to eat. People who work at these places are just like us, facing the same challenges, and at the end of the day, we can give a little. The food was actually pretty good and I don't drink, but the folks in my party who do drink enjoyed the Margarita's that they ordered. To sum this up, we had a good time!

Placed a door dash order. Doesn't give you the option to take off the onions/tomatoes. So I try calling and they can't hear/dont understand. Got hung up on. Called back same thing could hear/understand. The guy handed to phone to a lady. She got half or what I was asking. But guess she didnt understand me asking for no onions/tomatoes for the steak and cheese quesadilla. Please have the option to remove them!! Not everyone likes them. Paid about $40 for the order and had to pick them out of the steak and cheese so thats a bummer.

I used to come here with friends very frequently and this spring I tried to arrange an event here to throw business their way. Communicating the event details was challenging, in part because of the language barrier. When I did speak to an owner (in Menasha) on the phone, they agreed to host my party. I checked in person twice beforehand to make sure everything was clear. I used to work in restaurants, so I appreciate how essential details are for staffing and supplying an event, I also scheduled my event BEFORE the busy dinner hour, so my guests would order food but my event wouldn't interfere with regular operations. The day of my event I arrived to find no one expecting me. I had to spend a half hour using Google translate to communicate with a manager what was SUPPOSED to happen that day (despite posters hanging in the restaurant advertising the event) and he still looked confused. They put me in a back room where my parents helped me move tables around, etc. No staff came back to help me or check in, and after things wrapped up I went to pay my bill. They charged me THREE TIMES what I had agreed on with the owner and the first manager I spoke to. I have tried to contact the owner to give him a chance to respond or make this right, but have heard nothing. ZERO STARS. DO...

Have a food allergy and requested it not be in my dish. Server repeated it when the order was taken and again when my food was brought to my table and put in front of me. My burrito still had the allergin in it. Sent it back and was offered a replacement item. I chose something else and it was made correctly and I figured as an apology for almost killing me I would get part of my meal comped...nope...the item I selected as a replacement was $1.50 more and i was charged full menu price. Chips and salsa came to the table the same time our meals were brought out. Quesadilla appetizer was so soggy on the bottom it dripped grease when I picked it up. Service was horrible. We had 3 different servers and none of them knew what was going on. Tried to take our order twice. Music is obnoxious and loud nerve grinding Mexican horn music. This restaurant has grown well beyond a friendly top notch Mexican dining experience in a remodeled Hardee's in little chute into a restaurant that now just only cares about the money. Never use to be like this. We use to love this place but I don't think we'll be going back. We have found a new place in...
