Another stay that began with absolute headaches. Was immediately over charged for my room. The manger was very accommodating in helping resolve this for the future. Not today however. Then the amenities (pool and spa) are closed. Zero information from the front desk when asked.. Girl said idont know i just put the sign up.. can't make it up folks. The amenities are the only reason people stay here, paying a inflated rate . Again for another week they get zero stars. Everyday across my life I have the displeasure of dealing with humans who can't help but remind us all why they are where they are. This is the case at this hotel, after clearly asking for a late check out and making sure Its WITHOUT question communicated throughly, to be sure I'm not disturbed. (As I have zero faith in mosts competence)I was assured it was documented all over the computer. Apparently this wasn't the case. I was disturbed by house keeping at 1205pm (with a do not disturb sign on) after working my third consecutive 16hr night shift, and just getting to sleep at 830am. After clearly advising the staff I had a late checkout, they left, then returned waking me again. Stating it wasn't documented. Even if this is true, and your staff utterly failed at their job the first time, after my reassurance ,mind you. Wouldn't a little critical thinking ability tell you that after I verbalized it to you. There's clearly a miscommunication. I suppose not. I then had to walk down stairs and tell them they had failed to do their job miserably . Just to get them to correct it, I then extended out of anger. This ultimately however had me working that night with little to no sleep as I never fell back asleep . Almost resulting in my safety being compromised. Combine this with the rude comments and snide remarks from the housekeeping women, I would strongly recommend she be returned to the unemployment line until even small amounts of deductive problem solving abilities, coupled with higher emotional intelligence is achieved. In order to work in customer service. As for the elevator, it decided to just stop. Leaving me stuck for approx 5 minutes with no response from the control's. After raising the issue to the staff at the desk, I was met with more clear disregard . The response was AS FOLLOWS."it does that".. So forget me, I suppose, and my time. Thankfully I don't scare easily... I highly recommend staying conscious of the lack of regard for your well being if staying here. Not to mention the rate being 40 dollars higher than other hotels locally . If I could. I'd give zero stars .... This stay extended multiple nights, and wasn't over just one day.
Another stay for the week for business.. Still cant seem to get the staff to not bother me while im sleeping ,despite talking with everyone. Signs on the door etc ..
As well as they tried to charge my card for the same night twice upon check-out . Called it a mix up,but were apologetic. Be mindful staying here. I also won't use the elevator anymore. Learned that lesson. Im hopeful for the day i can write a positive review. I love the...
Read moreStayed with family for a week, and was repeatedly disappointed.
The desk staff is very friendly/bubbly, but laughing off issues is NOT the same as doing something about them.
Our issues included:
Housekeeping skipped our room EVERY DAY we were there. Eventually we had to go ask for more towels, soap, and TP. We were told this would be fixed after mentioning it multiple times; it wasn't.
Maybe they were as uncomfortable with the earwigs in the bathroom as we were.
The temperature in the fitness room was stuck at 84 degrees, making it unusable for cardio. So, on top of a hotel bill I needed to buy a gym pass for the week. The desk staff again just chuckled...
Told the staff our TV was static-y, to which the reply was "Oh, were getting new tvs soon." No one attempted to help at all, however I eventually fixed this myself.
Our key cards would stop working at random. They were not by magnets, etc that would erase them. Again, the staff just chuckled, said "that's happening a lot this week!" And that was the end of it.
We decided to leave a day early, and when checking out was told "I'm going to have to charge for the extra day... my housekeeping staff has been working all day"
The same housekeeping staff that didn't come to our room? That makes sense.
I told the clerk that we never received housekeeping... she then looked at the screen and said "oh I'm so sorry, you're good" which I took to mean we would receive SOMETHING, however I realized it meant we had prepaid and could leave her alone.
While one staff member said we should get some sort of reimbursement for these issues, no one did anything aside from using joviality to brush or issues aside.
It would definitely take some convincing for me to come back here, or recommend it to anyone else. A very...
Read moreAs mentioned, with the very good water pressure, the wide area spray of the shower head was extremely de-stressing.
Walls for the most part are adequate: you don't hear the next door apartment with its TV volume too high or the guests arguing with each other.
Limited TV channel selection, but I had more work- and research-relates activities in the evenings, so limited TV channels wasn't much concern for me.
Small breakfast bar was nice, sufficient choices for a quick out-the-door "snack breakfast". Was disappointed they were out of grape juice each morning I asked (can't do orange juice).
Everything else you need is sufficiently local: -fast food places are walking distance in good weather: McDonalds, Wendy's, KFC, and several local places are a short drive. Was a great mom-and-pop pizzeria that made an excellent calzone but it took 2 days to eat, hence my disappointment with the extremely small-volume refrigerator.
There was also a good BBQ shack a few miles down the road that was a good mid-point meal halfway thru my visit to the area.
There's a grocery store a block away for any missed necessities (toiletries, snacks, beverages... but again, skip a large amount of refrigerated or frozen items). The room did have a small microwave, but was sufficient for when...
