Stopped in for lunch today. Haven't been for awhile and was wanting to go back. Actually tried to pop in last Friday evening but upon opening the door and seeing no tables available (mind you, the place is small and narrow and basically has maybe four high top tables unless you sit at the bar), we opted to go elsewhere for our dinner.... But today we arrived around lunch time and was able to grab the last empty table. Our server (who was also the bartender), Sarah, greeted us with menus and took our drink orders. I chose the tuna and swiss melt and hubby ordered a dozen wings. My sandwich came with a small bag of chips (fries for a slight upcharge). Our meals came promptly and looked delicious. One bite of mine and I knew I'd made the right choice. The tuna salad was nicely blended and didn't have an overpowering fishy taste. Piled between crunchy buttery toasty wheat bread, it was the type of sandwich that you needed a knife and fork and I enjoyed every bite. Wings were meaty and the sauce was the perfect amount of heat with just a tease of sweetness (I tried one) - and hubby agreed. A dozen of these were quite substantial and we wound up asking for a box to take five home. We're glad we stopped in and will definitely be back. Nice job, Old Corner!

I love drinking beer in old buildings and The Old Corner Grill and Bottle Shop is perfect for that. A buddy and I were on a motorcycle trip to finish off the Mid Atlantic Back-country Discovery Route and hoteled in Lock Haven, PA. A quick Google Maps search for restaurants that were "open now" for dinner had The Old Corner at the top. We walked over from the hotel and were immediately served cold beers on tap from the friendly staff at the bar. We ordered the Big Joe hamburgers and sat outside chatting with friendly patrons and the owner. The burgers came out and boy were they true to their word - the Big Joe is BIG. Tasty too. We had a couple more beers waving to the traffic that cruised by. Great spot for a burger and beer. Would definitely come back.

places like this aren't just in sitcoms. comfort food, a local spot, cozy atmosphere and excellent service. definitely a place I'll visit again when in town, and I'd recommend it to others when they visit Penn State. I'm sure the menu changes, as I've seen pictures for dishes they didn't list (although I'm sure they will still make it you felt the craving and they had the ingredients in the kitchen). and considering that they stay open long into the night, if you get that late night hunger or you're pulling a serious late shift, add this place to your list when you're near.

With our dog in tow, we sat outside for an early lunch. I ordered the vegie wrap which would have been more aptly named the mushroom wrap. That was THE vegetable. All wraps are advertised to include mayo, oil and vinegar, lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, italian herbs and crushed or ring peppers. I asked for ALL except the mayo. I forgot to specify one of three wrap choices (herb, spinach or sun dried tomato tortilla) and was not asked. Received what tasted like a plain tortilla wrap rather than any of the choices. My wrap was missing half of the ingredients which was extremely disappointing given that there was only one vegetable (mushroom). My husband's patty melt was also bland. He asked about the chili but declined as the server said it was not spicy when he inquired. The server did not check back with us and we went inside after eating to fetch our bill. Unsure if our table was wiped down beforehand and the outdoor noise and atmosphere (obviously not under their control) just made this a meal we'd...

The food was very good. I had a chicken sandwhich and broccoli salad. My husband had a cheesesteak wrap. My husband said that his a bit salty. The waitress that we had during our meal was great. There are several tvs in the bar to watch sports...I'm not a sports fan. The gentleman who got us our drinks later in the day, they had a band outside, was less friendly. The restrooms were out of order. There were port-a-potties outside behind the building. The bar is located downtown, so it is well lit. There is a parking lot behind the building and on street parking. Lots of parking available, but not a lot of seating inside. There are a couple of tables outside. If you want to sit outside, you can. Anything ordered to go outside us packaged in takeout containers, drinks are put in...
