A Perfect Retreat!

We recently booked The Leona for a 50th birthday weekend and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting. With 12 of our closest friends and family joining us, the space offered just the right balance of privacy and togetherness.

Each cabin was beautifully designed - private, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, allowing our guests to relax, unwind, and enjoy their own space. At the same time, the pavilion served as the heart of our celebration, providing the perfect setting for a shared meal, games, and great conversation. It felt like every detail had been considered to make our stay seamless and memorable.

We used The Leona as our home base and enjoyed a day trip to the nearby Ottine Springs, followed by a delicious dinner under the pavilion, catered by Commerce Cafe, a local gem we’d highly recommend.

I second everything positive said about The Leona in Lockhart. My wife and I stayed this weekend and celebrated our anniversary, and the Leona was more impressive and comforting than my highest expectations. As others have mentioned, the short walk to all the excellent restaurants and fun bars in the center of town is a joy, and walking back to rest and relax in such a peaceful and beautiful oasis is really a perfect experience. We are especially grateful for all the little details added in the room to make our experience even better! Last note, I tried to find a place with pleasing design because my wife is an architect and it’s very important to her. I am happy to share that she couldn’t stop marveling at the fine design and craftsmanship in every inch of The Leona, indoors and out. Can’t wait to...

We went to Lockhart of course for barbecue and a little detox from daily stresses. Everything was so convenient and so easy that before we even arrived you just felt taken care of. When we walked in the door and set down our bags there was a just an excited calm. I can honestly say I have never been in a place that was more thoughtfully curated for a delightful experience. From the record player with eclectic sounds, the beautifully appointed environment, and the making available cocktails to relax was such a refreshing atmosphere to chill in. The little deck space overlooking the creek to listen to the birds definitely was simply peace. We cannot say enough about the Leona! Definitely going back for any trip to the area not just Lockhart but being only 30 minutes from Austin...
