As Austin artists continue the migration to funky little Lockhart, Tx, the new Nightshade gallery is a prime example of the town’s burgeoning creative scene. Owner/curator Jessica Pyrdsa has converted the tiny space into an intimately curated exhibition for both visual arts and music, with a baby grand piano displayed to be played front and center amongst a collection of themed paintings.
As word gets out quickly in this community, the space has become a go-to hang for locals and out-of-towners alike as they enjoy evening piano performances, sips and snacks, often erupting into impromptu two-stepping sessions under the stars.
