Hmm let’s see why the poor rating was given. We literally checked in and out within 30 minutes. It would have been sooner but we had to book another hotel last minute before vacating this nightmare of an experience. My husband and I had just arrived after a beautiful stay in Smithfield, North Carolina where everything from their cleanliness, delicious food, staff with it ness, wrapped and a sealed remote control and room that were both protected and ready to receive their next happy vacationers. Contrary to that amazing stay we previously had the night before, we enter a hotel with an enormous amount of Amazon trucks and flirtatious drivers (i.e. hitting on the manager behind the desk in the midst of voicing our complaints) and head into the hallway with broken corner guards hanging off from both sides to then enter our “first” room to witness complete filth and health concerns (i.e. unsealed door, non protective covering on the remote control, blackened and sticky floor, either jelly or blood stains on the walls, a broken and unsanitary toilet, mold and dirt all over the floor and walls on the shower, a long strip of mold all along the bedroom ceiling, and a stained carpet with a chair over it in hopes to conceal the markings). We immediately took pictures and went to the front desk where Madison accompanied us back to the room to examine the filth and documented it accordingly and offered us a “second” room. We then proceeded to a second room where she allowed us to do a walk through to the room prior to accepting it. Upon entering the room we immediately smelled smoke which was apparently a non smoking room and noticed another broken toilet and an uncleaned toilet and shower as well as probably days old squid left in the refrigerator. After more than 20 years of only staying at the Hamptons, this was by far the most expensive one and dirtiest hotel we have ever experienced. Madison‘s response to our complaints was, “Oh, it’s an old place.”Her statement was completely unacceptable, old is no excuse for such uncleanliness and neglect to assuring customers a safe, healthy...
Read moreWas not impressed with the hotel. Lobby area looked nice, once pass that the wall paper was peeling in the hallways. Same in the rooms. Wall paper peeling and the room smelled musty. It got worse with the AC unit on. Which also didn't cool the room to the temperature set after several hours being on. Bathroom door looked as if had flood damage. Water pressure was good but the shower head either needed to be cleaned or replaced because of mineral deposit. Worst part for the tub experience was the drain. Stopper wouldn't work, looked in and there was hair. Used a hand towel to pull it out and it was a giant wad that had brown matter come off of it. As I was getting up, I saw the under side I f the shelf in the tub and it looked like mold.
When reported they couldn't get me a new room as all rooms were booked. In the morning we checked out and instead of comping the room, they only took off $100 from the final cost with tax of $220.
Also, the Continental breakfast was disappointing. Premade egg omelette that looked like frittatas. Muffins, cereal, and the option to make waffles. Could have juice, water from tap, or the milk chilled on ice inside of a pitcher.
Will I be returning? No. Do I recommend? No. Was the staff nice and helpful? Mostly. Price for the room? Not worth the $220 they charge plus a $50 additional holding fee in case you mess up something. The rooms should be more...
Read moreI am a Hilton Honors Diamond member. As such I enjoy staying at different properties within the portfolio when I get away on trips or for the weekend. This was a rest trip for myself on a weekend, a 90 minute drive from my home in NJ. I chose a room with a suite.||As always I checked in the day before via the app. There was no room choice offered however. The day of arrival, when the Digital Key was sent, then I was assigned to Room 318.||While I could have gone directly to the room, I did stop at the front desk to claim my water and snack. The experience was friendly and professional.||Certainly the suite and ample sized for my needs. Plenty of room to spread out. I did however take note that it was not completely clean. There was some dirt on the floor, and also the top of the HVAC unit was dirty.||The suite had a sink with counter outside the bathroom, and another sink with counter in the bathroom itself. This made the counter space at both sinks a bit small, with not enough room to put down toiletries. As a suggestion the bathroom could be smaller and one counter and sink could take the space of the two the exist now.||Also in the bathroom, the toilet flushing was sluggish. ||WiFi and TV's worked well. ||Breakfast was good, no issues with what is expected from a Hampton Inn.||Overall, more attention should be given by housekeeping in preparing rooms for...
