While I have defended this place to others I am beginning to agree with them. Let's start here. Incorrect orders, I have ordered from here maybe 3 or 4 times now, twice my order was wrong, once it was very wrong and another time I was just missing some sides. The orders were placed online so that removes any miscommunication that could occur from a phone order. My 2 friends have also had their orders wrong, but they were very wrong, like the wrong meat on their tacos. The employees when I told them my order was wrong were very sorry and they corrected it right away but it is a bit frustrating to go home first then realize your food is wrong and have to go back. I am willing to forgive for that, it happens I used to do the same work and i can understand how it happens although frequently incorrect orders slowly drives away customers.
inconsistency is another thing I have come to expect from Las Aves. Now there are things I've gotten every time that were great, americano tacos have usually been pretty good. Although sometimes it's not that it's bad but it tastes different than last time we ordered. The Mexican Street fries, the first time I got them they were delicious, crispy, fresh, awesome seasoning with a side of queso, delicious. 2nd time I ordered. Either they put lime salt on them and way overloaded it or they squeezed limes all over the fries and they tastes like a big plate of limes. The queso Blanco has tasted different every time I get it, sometimes it's very bland, sometimes it's creamy deliciousness. Maybe it's my taste buds being weird or something I don't know, but I can tell you it sure does seem like it's not the same person making the food all the time. If there's another thing that people don't like (my old job was plagued with this problem) is inconsistency in the flavor of food.
All that being said, I truly still enjoy Las Aves food. I would love to keep ordering from them! But what may stop me next time is the price. I get it in today's world everything is expensive, and I've defended this to my two buddies as well that everything is expensive. It really isn't that much more than other places, yeah it's more but it's not that bad, I don't mind paying more for good consistent food! That's where the problem comes in. The cost of Las Aves takeout tacos is not cheap. 3 burrito bowls (with a couple add-ons) , side of queso and chips and an order of Mexican Street fries was around 70 dollars. Now I get it, I plan accordingly, not something I buy all the time but maybe every few weeks or whatever. But then I get inconsistent or incorrect orders and it makes me really question if I want to continue ordering. I truly hope this review gets to the right eyes and these issues are addressed because I am hesitant to continue ordering from Las Aves. I wish success and would love to continue ordering from here but I am certainly not making it a regular occurrence...
Read moreI rarely ever leave reviews, but this experience was so awful that I feel like people deserve to be warned. From the moment I ordered the customer service was terrible—unfriendly, unhelpful, and completely inattentive. It felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers.
The food didn’t make up for it either. Everything came out cold since we got out food delivered 1 hour late, and the presentation looked careless.
What stood out most was the lack of professionalism. Basic requests were ignored, and there was zero effort to make the experience enjoyable. By the end of the meal, we couldn’t wait to write this review.
Overall, this was hands down one of the worst order out experiences I’ve had. Between the terrible customer service, bad food, and unpleasant management, I will definitely not be returning and wouldn’t recommend this...
Read moreabsolutely horrible. this place STUNK like old garbage. and the table was sticky and covered in crumbs. the staff acted like III was an inconvenience for even showing up and our server vanished after dropping off drinks (which were warm btw.). the food???? absolutely disgusting. my beer battered cod taco was cold, greasy, and looked like it had been scraped off someone else’s plate. i wouldn’t eat here again if they paid me 12 billion dollars. avoid this place at all costs. and joe, the manager, is an absolute joke. rude, dismissive, and couldn’t care less about customer complaints. hes the perfect mascot for this disaster of...
