I did a 4 night stay at this brand new hotel and hotel chain (had never heard of TownePlace before booking) by Marriott. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it. Its an all suite hotel (like an extended stay) and the rooms are laid out beautifully. I took a studio suite with what they called a kitchenette (but I call a kitchen!). It has all the parts - fridge, glass cook top, microwave, dishwasher, filled pantry stocked with plates, glasses, utensils, pots, coffee pot and supplies, dish soap - the works (PERFECT). Nice sized room with king bed AND a fold out couch. The bathroom is European styled with no tub but gorgeous walk in shower with perfect strong spray shower head and curved glass door that actually closes all the way so you are nice and warm in your shower experience. Granite bathroom countertop. The closet is built out with pull out drawers and different level hanging racks, hooks for coats, and a full size iron and board (I used to steam a dress free of its travel wrinkles). My fav part of the room?? The beautiful built in desk/office area. Not your typical tiny, in the corner desktop thing. This is a desk you pull out from under another countertop with office chair, drawers, office lighting and a mass of USB ports and plugs surrounding you. I had to work while traveling and I only wish this was the set up in every hotel (hey, other hotels, take a peek at this set up and copy it please!!!!). My favorite part of this hotel? THE STAFF, hands down. When I checked in, one welcoming staff member took my luggage and grocery bags up to my room and unpacked the groceries for me for the experience after I checked in and entered the room. They made me feel instantly welcomed and comfortable. Everyone has a smile or a quick laugh. Its a very professional crew. Housekeeping was warm and friendly (like a friend) vs. robot-like. In fact, I came back to the room as it was being cleaned and another hotel staff person jumped in to help get it done quickly for me. Everyone here works as one team. There didn't seem to be any sense of "that is not my job. Go talk to that person". I look forward to saying "hi" every morning. They have a wonderful breakfast area - - super clean and inviting and serve from 6-9 (yay). Not your inconvenient 6-7am I seem to be running into. I was able to sleep in and come down before 9, They even have a bar!! The bartender was lovely and served my cocktail perfectly. You may wonder why you might come to this hotel which looks on the outside just to be another regular suite hotel. I definitely give it all stars and a 10 all the way around. There are alot of others who feel the same way because in February, mid-week, in 32 degree weather, this hotel was sold out!!!! If you are in the area, be sure...

We encountered several issues during our stay that could have been easily avoidable. When I booked a room, I booked a 1 bedroom suite but saw upon checking in online I had been moved to a studio which would not work for my situation. This took quite a bit of work to find a solution and ultimately cost me hundreds of extra dollars to stay in a two bedroom unit to avoid having to move again. The unit we were in was not remodeled like the other units. The carpet was frayed, furniture worn, appliances old and not in proper working order and drywall had many holes and cracks in the walls and ceilings. I really didn’t feel this was worth the extra money.
Breakfast often ended early— up to 30 minutes early everything was completely put away. The attendant said she decided to close early when I asked. On two occasions the food items were expired.
Our room smelled terrible upon arrival- like something was rotten. It was the dishwasher that had been clogged and was backed up and the odor filled the room. The pump wouldn’t drain. I needed to run the dishwasher that night and tried to drain it myself. It was disgusting and unfortunately needed more work. Additionally, the shower did not work properly. I called for maintenance and no one ever came. I called the front desk again the next day and she said they would come, but no one did. I called again that evening and the front desk said our hotels maintenance staff left for the day but she would try next door. A nice gentlemen came and fixed the dishwasher but was unable to fix the tub. There was carpet cleaning and AC unit servicing during our stay. While we asked for our room to be serviced anytime after 1pm, they came in at 10 am. The maintenance gentlemen was with the contractors and I asked him about fixing the shower issue. He was of no help. No one was wearing a mask that entered our room so given that our family is high risk, we left. Upon returning, our bedding was dirty and wet and I asked for our linens to be changed/room to be cleaned. No one came and I asked for linens and changed them myself.
Several days later in spite of a do not disturb sign on the door, my room was cleaned. I did not want anyone entering my room as I had personal effects and work items out but my do not disturb sign was blatantly ignored. This property has much potential given these types of...
Read moreDO NOT BOOK HERE, YOU WONT HAVE A ROOM If I could give this hotel a zero I absolutely would, all thanks to Alex Smith. Alex was a great sales person and had us fully convinced that this was the perfect hotel to have our wedding block/wedding after party. When we arrived to check in we were told that our room that we booked months in advance had been canceled and booked with someone else. No phone call, and no email to notify us. Alex was working and walked by many times not even acknowledging the mistake she caused. One time? maybe that was a mistake in the books, but two weeks prior we had family members booked with this hotel for a weekend stay and they received an email days before saying that their room was canceled, but at least they got an email. We end up with a downgraded room, come back after our wedding for the after party.. surprise Alex never booked us a bartender (after telling us there would be one)! We had a lobby packed with guests ready to party and no one to serve them on our wedding night. After speaking multiple desk attendants all problems seem to lead to Alex. We were told that she does this all the time and leaves them there to face the angry and unsatisfied customers scrambling to try to clean up the mess that Alex made. My husband emailed her, and received an attitude back so he decided to just call the next day to see where the disconnect was, just to get blown off by Alex. He then talked to a supposed manager who also didn’t really seem to care about all of the trouble that this place caused us. Moral of this story, if you plan on booking and staying at this hotel, you should also have a backup plan because you might just find out you don’t have a room at all. Shout out to the front desk attendants who tried their best for us, specifically Johnathan who did his best to accommodate an angry crowd. Also, for maintenance, room 328‘s tub leaks all over the floor and into the trim when you use the shower, you should probably check for mold, but that’s...
