Long-term IHG PKATINUM MEMBERS, we should have known something was off when we drove up the entrance to check in and the sidewalk was blocked by drywall, construction supplies, and drywall installation equipment.||It only got worse from there.||The two nice ladies at the front desk could not get their credit card reader to work. We knew our IHG loyalty credit card worked as we had just used it for gas. After multiple tries, one of the ladies had us fill out and sign a paper so she could manually enter our credit card into their system.||Question: if your credit card reader hasn't been working for a while, why don't you replace it?||Next, because construction was in-progress inside the hotel, there was construction dust, supplies, bathroom fixtures, and construction carts on both the 1st and 2nd floors. Construction equipment blocking egress up and down the halls is extremely problematic, especially in the event of a fire. Unsafe lodging as a result.||Qyestion: Why not use one of your rooms to stage needed construction equipment vs. putting your employees, guests, and even the construction workers at risk by allowing your hallways to be fully or partially blocked? Again, unsafe. The Fire Marshall would cite you for the lack of safety for all concerned.||Noise: check-in is 3pm. We arrived somewhere around 3:30. And was thankful that the very loud shouting, drilling (with a battery operated hand drill), running, and loud talking ended at 5:26 pm when the construction workers left the 2nd floor. ||Question: we totally get that you are doing construction. But the yelling, congregating outside guest rooms, and speaking in high volumes by the construction crew should not be acceptable. ||Question: Why do you allow this when you know you have placed guests on the same floor that construction is taking place? ||Lastly, because we have been on the road for two weeks (all in IHG properties), my husband was exhausted. After your construction workers left for the day, |my husband put his earplugs in and attempted to sleep. ONLY to be awakened by someone claiming to be "housekeeping " knocking at our door. I called down to the front desk to inquire if housekeeping truly needed anything from us or from our room. The lady at the desk said "housekeeping has already left for the day but I will check and call you back."||We received a prompt call and was told by the front desk they "smelled smoke from our room." I invited them to come up to the room, which one of the ladies from the front desk did. ||My husband dressed from his sleep to greet and let her in the room. As soon as she walked in she said, "I don't smell anything. I'm so sorry to disturb you." My husband reminded her of what I had shared over the phone, I e., that I had reheated some leftover vegetables in the microwave. As we don't smoke and could not smell smoke in our room or in the entirety, of the 2nd floor, we were very confused by this unnecessary interruption.||Question: why was this interruption in our stay necessary? There was not smoke nor evidence of smoke in our room nor on the 2nd floor (my husband, an engineer, walked the entire hall to assure there was no smoke or evidence of fire. There was none). ||I cannot adequately express how very disappointed we are with this property and our experience today. As Platinum Members, we have never experienced anything as unsettling as we experienced today. And we haven't even stayed the night yet. I fear for what the rest of our night and tomorrow's checkout experience will be.||At this time and place, I do not feel safe nor welcome in this IHG prooerty. We have never had such a disturbing experience traveling and using IGG properties before....
Read moreThis was not a very good stay with the Holiday Inn Express group. This was just an overnight stay. |The best I could give this location was 2 stars.|FIRST STAR... I gave 1 star because of the convenient location to the interstate. It was easy to get on and off the interstate at this location. |SECOND STAR... I gave a 2nd star because of the room. The room was clean and everything worked well. The room was well stocked(plenty of towels and pillows) and quiet. All the problems began the in the morning. |Now for the PROBLEMS....|NEGATIVE #1... At 5:00AM the hotel fire alarm went off for about 5 seconds. I looked out in the hallway and no one was leaving their rooms. I know it was dumb, but that included me. Well it was 5:00 AM and I was wide awake so I decided to go ahead and get up and get ready to leave. I went down to breakfast about 7:30AM and noticed that there were about 10 people already there. All anyone could talk about was the 5:00Am fire alarm. I went to the front desk and asked about it. The front desk clerk informed me that the hotel has a room on the 3rd floor that causes the fire alarm to go off when someone takes a HOT shower. Seems like to me that perhaps they should get this taken care of or at least not rent that room. |NEGATIVE #2...I returned to the breakfast area to find little food. There were NO Eggs available. There were NO Bacon available. There was NO Orange Juice. The serving trays were there but everything was emptied. There were NO Otis Spunkmeyer muffins. There were a few Holiday Inn Cinnamon Rolls available but they looked like they were left over from yesterday. If you wanted a clean table to eat, you had to clean it yourself. Very disappointing experience. This was no where close to Holiday Inn Express standards. |NEGATIVE #3...There are very limited places to eat at night. The fast food places in the area were dirty. There is a Walmart about a half mile down the road that you could get something to bring back to the room to eat. ||This was probably the worst experience I have had staying at a Holiday Inn Express. I will not be staying at this location again. I will go ahead and drive into Little Rock on my next trip...
Read moreOur stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations. The location felt incredibly safe, with a well-lit parking lot that gave us peace of mind for our belongings, including our U-Haul with an open car trailer and classic car onboard. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully equipped with plenty of lighting, a comfortable chair, and a desk chair.
The front desk staff were phenomenal on every shift—super accommodating and always helpful. Breakfast was delicious and varied daily, which was a nice touch. The room’s fridge and microwave were also great conveniences. They also have a pool we didn’t have time to try.
We slept the best nights’ rest we truly needed, knowing our belongings were secure. Seeing several horse trailers in the lot further showed how much travelers trust this location. Being situated on a pretty dead street with no through traffic added to the sense of security.
Another standout feature was how pet-friendly this hotel is. My wife has paperwork for her service animal, and they not only allowed pets but also didn’t charge us any additional fees. Their kindness and understanding made our stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, we 100% recommend this hotel for its excellent service, amenities, peace of mind, and...
