Bedbugs! Management did not make right. I booked the hotel through priceline. I checked in late the first night and immediately went to sleep The next morning, I went to breakfast. When I got back I noticed a bedbug crawling on my sheet. I immediately killed it before taking a picture (taking a picture wasn't my first thought) but I took a picture after. Then I noticed 2 blood drops on the sheet as well. I went to management and stated that there were bed bugs and he offered to change rooms. I stated that I didn't really want to change rooms as at this point I'd rather get a different hotel entirely for the rest of my stay. He offered to refund me and I book a different hotel for the remaining 2 nights. A week goes on and I haven't gotten a refund. I called the hotel twice but they did not answer. Then I contact priceline (who I booked through) and they were able to contact the property. They offered to refund the last 2 nights but did not refund the night I stayed there with the bedbugs. Considering they gave me a room with bedbugs I don't think I should have to pay for any nights as that is not an appropriate accommodation! Only refunding the remaining nights and not refunding the night I spent in a room with bedbugs is not "making it right". Though I did not know it at first, about 2 days after my stay I started getting a very itchy rash on my hand that took weeks to go away.

Location looked sketchy. I did not feel comfortable walking around outside. We stayed here as this was a quick drive to Universal Studios. The lobby is closed. The front desk person is actually thru a side window on the building behind bulletproof glass. The rooms are renovated and looks great. Room was clean but a little small. The water is hot and consistent which was the best. The beds only had a thin blanket, no comforter. My kids and I were cold and the front desk gave me one blanket and refused to give me two. There wasn’t enough bath towels in the bathroom. The front desk refused to give me a bath towel unless I gave him one to exchange. So after my kids finished showering, I had to bring their wet towels to exchange for dry towels so I could have clean dry towels after I shower. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. No pool.I did not see an elevator. The housekeeping lady was very friendly. I do not recommend this place if you’re traveling with children or with a car. Neighborhood was quiet. There was this disheveled lady in her 30s who was trying to convince the housekeeping lady to open one of the rooms stating that she forgot her key. Housekeeping advised her to ask the front desk but she said it was too far of a walk and just ultimately refused to ask the front desk. I think this lady was just trying to rob a room.

I mean, if you're looking for just a bed and a night's rest, it's an ok place. There is no luxury for an ok price per night. We got our 2 queen queens for about $170ish per night during the summer, which I think is a good deal. But there were some annoying things like how there is no soap dispenser at the sink and that they don't put in toiletries in the bathroom (even after calling at the reception), except the fixed bottles filled with shampoo and conditioner next to the shower. So let's say you relieved yourself. You have to make your way into the bathtub and dispense soap and go back to the sink to wash your hands. It's both a tripping hazard and an inconvenience. The rooms were generally clean, except the bathroom ofc, see pictures. And try to ask for rooms at the front, not south because there is a Mexican taco truck station in the back, and they have activities all into the night with loud (trumpet) music. So you probably won't get much good night sleep. But the location is very conveniently located to most shops, grocery stores and pharmacies. Fyi the breakfast is continental (Danish, coffee etc) and it was open from like 7am to 9am or 10 am.

Very rude at check-in. I had pre-booked in my son's name because he was arriving ahead of us, and used my card. We confirmed the reservation 2 weeks in advance. When he arrived, the clerk/owner would not accept my Mastercard debit card which was used (and confirmed) to pre-book the room. My son called me to let me know what was happening, so we asked if my son could complete the check-in in his name. He wanted to cancel my reservation (lower rates) and make a new reservation in my son's name at much higher rates. When he questioned why, the man yelled at him, would not accept his Mastercard debit card either and told him to get cash from an ATM across the street. Then he asked for a $200 deposit. [My reservation rates were honored] I booked the location because of proximity to Universal Studios and other places we frequent when we're there. Rooms are small with no other amenities to justify the cost. Breakfast is only coffee, juice box, or tea, and a store bought cheese danish without any other options. Our room started to smell of weed from neighboring guests smoking, there were homeless camping on the curb, and if you arrive late, good luck finding parking. After breakfast, we were finishing our coffee and chatting with friends who were also staying here, and the clerk stood in the doorway waiting for us to leave. When we lingered he turned off the A/C and the room got hot, so we left. The lobby was closed and kept locked except for morning coffee time. Rudeness at check-out too. We will NOT be returning. Our friends that joined us on vacation and also stayed at this place had their own bad experiences for which we feel embarrassed because we suggested they book the same location. We will NOT be staying...

All of the staff here at Super 8 were very nice and kind to my children and I. The rooms are very clean and the ladies there are always there helping keeping the rooms clean providing you with towels, soap or extra toilet paper if needed. For breakfast you have several options from cereal, bagels with cream cheese, cinnamon roll bread, eggos with syrup, tea, milk, coffee, apple juice, orange juice and also fruit. The staff made my check in and check out go very smoothly. They were all very kind to my kids and I and I appreciate that we were able to get good nights of sleep feeling safe and comfortable without any disruptions from any guest in the other rooms. The owner by far was the most generous respectful kind hearted man that I have dealt with. He made my extended stay go smoothly without any problems compared to the other hotels I previously stayed at. He was very kind attentive and respectful and his kind words let me know that things happen for a reason and his words reassured me that things will get better as long as I have faith and remain strong for my children. I would highly recommend anyone especially people with children experiencing homelessness to chose to have their stay at Super 8. This place provided safety, and comfort for our time being there compared to other locations we had been to. No illegal activities are going on at Super 8 so you can rest well knowing your children and you are safe and that’s what all of us parents look for when staying at hotels. Thank you all the staff at Super 8 especially the owner for his generosity, his understanding and his patience and kindness. May God bless all the staff working here at Super 8.

This Super 8 motel was advertising being able to see the Hollywood sign and you certainly can!. I was there on business trying to find an apartment to move into when I decided to relocate to los Angeles after my divorce and wanting to get away so chose where my maternal family luved and always had the group family reunionsns growing up. So that actually got my feet moving from where born and raised. I just remembered asking where rodeo road was pronouncing it like a horse fair with ropes but it is RODEYO in hollywood language so embarrassing because I actually have a college degree. It is close to a mall in japanese town area not Chinatown where the boulevard will lead you to in the opposite direction. There are many places to eat and 2 movietheaters near by. Only weird thing that happened to me was when I first got to my room after getting the orbitz package deal rental car included, I got into the shower. I was traveling alone and put my purse and car keys and room card key on the bed but when I got out the showerccuI ahad the latch on the door and the office man I must have dropped it somewhere. It sure was not where all my belongings were 15 minutes of shower earlier. They do have an area for breakfast pastries and coffee. There is a computer available for guests. There is a pub next door with pool tables and a laundromat next door I had similar included in my 45 minute short movie made for my class at entergetting at end of this because it keeps skipping the cursor and words a certificate in professional proam in producingra not find the key used to...
