Hark! Lend me thy ears whilst I recount the deeds of one most commendable—Destiny, a gracious steward of the sacred brew, who at The Breeze did serve me with such grace and art that I am moved to song.
No sooner had I crossed the threshold than Destiny did greet me with a smile that could outshine Apollo’s own chariot—so warm, so full of welcome, that even the wearied soul would feel at ease. With gentle words and keen attention, she did inquire of my taste, and guided me, as a lighthouse doth guide the lost, to a drink most fit for kings and poets alike.
O, what wonder she wrought! With hands deft and practiced, Destiny did craft a draught that might have pleased the gods of Olympus. Each sip did sing upon my tongue—rich and bold, smooth as satin, sweet as love’s first bloom.
Yet not the drink alone earns my praise, but the spirit in which it was served. The air itself at The Breeze did seem lighter for her presence, and those who came in weary left with hearts more full. In truth, she doth turn the humble task of pouring coffee into an act of rare delight.
So let it be known: Destiny is no mere barista, but a mistress of her art, a bright star in the morning firmament. I shall return, and oft, for such service is not easily found nor...
Read moreI was there last week to meet my sister for the first time. I ordered a French 75 and waited with flowers for her. I believe that they were racist because of the attitude and energy of the bar staff on both sides. One side the staff members followed me around like I was going to steal what I purchased which was gourmet tuna 🍣 fish that I wanted to try. I just gave it to her as I continued to shop. Because as black people - we do not have the privilege in some stores to enjoy the act of tasting and reading boxes. Now, I was wearing a Rolex and high end clothing but they still followed me around. It comes to show that racism is everywhere. Additionally, I own the therapy company down the street. So, I walked to this company. Moving forward.... I will tell anyone I know not to support this company. Racist is not cool and profiling is not acceptable. Grow please and...
Read moreI moved to the Shelby Park neighborhood about a month before The Breeze/Canary Club opened—and WOW! The shop has made an amazing impact on Shelby Street over the past couple of years. The Breeze is such a cute spot, especially when you're looking for gifts for friends or just need a little treat for yourself. I'm not into booze, but I love the coffee specials, and the baristas are always friendly and cool. Julie makes bangin' lattes! This is the spot I always take my out-of-town visitors to show them what I think is cool about Lou....
