We stayed here recently and really enjoyed the hotel. The Tru brand is newer to Hiltons portfolio but I've stayed in Tru hotels about 3 times and enjoyed each experience. The hotel shares property with Home2, another Hilton brand, but suites. This means the pool, fitness center, breakfast buffet and lobby are for both hotels. There is a great snack shop in the lobby that has a lot of frozen meals, we ended up just getting some burritos one night because we were exhausted. They offer a few frozen meals and even vegetarian options. They have microwaves downstairs or in your room. There's also a pool table and a lot of areas to just hang out in the lobby. The Fitness Center has a nice variety of machines and I really enjoyed the Precor ellipticals. The pool is on the smaller end but people were enjoying that well into the night. The breakfast buffet was actually quite good. They had a lot of options including yogurt, make your own pancakes, waffles, various fruits, meats, eggs, bagels, etc. We were there an hour before close and they still had a lot of food available. Just be aware there isn't a ton of seating in the breakfast area but if you go towards the pool tables there are more seats over there. The room was very nice, we didn't need anything large, so it was perfect for two people. The bathroom was very clean and they provide shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap. They use this lemon scented product that I really like. The bed was comfortable however the pillows were really flat. I'd recommend if you're traveling via car to bring your own pillow. The room had a small desk and chair as well. They are building a property right next door so that might get a bit loud during the day, however the location of the hotel is great because you are two blocks or so from a large shopping area, with restaurants, stores, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

True is neat and clean - just lacking in a few of the basic services. No water when we checked in (no big deal, but it's nice). No coffee, hot water or milk when we checked out in the AM - yeah, big deal. We were running on a tight schedule, wanted to grab some food and coffee and get rolling. Lot's of stuff empty at the breakfast (one hardboiled egg left in a tray that holds 30) - the guy manning the breakfast area was overwhelmed. We've seen this before, so were not relying on it. But coffee empty? So then I figure I'll get tea - no hot water (see how t's goen in the third pic). OK...I'll get some cold water and a little milk and teabag and nuke it up fast. No milk (I tried to grab it from the cereal area - empty). The few times we have a less than perfect experience I grab pics - and I am ALWAYS amazed no one behind the counter asks "is there a problem?" - I think it's because they know. Rooms were clean and neat (as was hallway) - cleaning staff friendly and professional. All in all, I'd rather have a clean room than coffeee (if I have to choose). Wegman's is close by - got coffee there.

Don't stay here anytime near Jan 2024 for a few months . Construction of another hotel means non stop construction noise, beeping trucks, boards slammed down all day. Terrible. Super small rooms. Terrible breakfast of powdered eggs, barely steamed potatoes. So bad , had to toss out. We stay at Tru all the time. This one was a big no. We had to switch rooms cause the thermostat didn't work. It doesn't work good in second room either. I would like to add, by time we got changed to our third room on back side of hotel, much is better. The front desk gentleman was super helpful and the house keeping staff is fantastic. I updated my review as I feel these are just temporary issues, but definitely problems.

The hotel was aesthetically appealing, updated, clean, and a decent place to stay. The reception area had a bunch of snacks, bottles of wine, a beer cooler, & 2 options of fresh fruit available for purchase. There was a nice amount of places to sit, a pool table, & even some cool privacy work cubes, & hanging nest swing chairs. This was a weekday stay for us. Our room had 2 queen beds, but was a relatively small/semi-cramped room for two Queen beds. The one bed was close enough to the air conditioner that I hit my leg on the corner of the bed frame & then the corner of the air conditioner when getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. The beds were decently comfortable. There was no closet or dresser in the room and not enough places to hang things in general, especially if you have more than 2 people & you use the pool. I didn’t like how the a/c would turn off & on on it’s own, as it would wake me up sometimes. The fire sprinklers in the room had an intermittent flashing light, which may bother some when sleeping. It was thankfully overall quiet there. No in room coffee maker, but there was a mini fridge & microwave. There’s a saltwater pool which was a decent size. It was slightly chilly, but nice to be able to swim. They also had a nice looking fitness room, which I didn’t end up having time to use. The free breakfast was ok, the eggs were a tad too salty for me & my fiancé said they were way too salty, and for me it lacked a large enough variety of fresh fruit, there were 2 fresh fruit options available, oranges & apples. Sadly, the coffee was the worst I’ve had at a hotel. My experience with coffee at hotels has been that it’s typically too dark for my taste, but plenty of creamer & sugar (though I don’t even like to have to use so many calories to be able to just try & enjoy my morning cup of coffee) typically do “fix it”. Even with the extra extra cream & sweetener, it was just ok & left a lot to be desired. This sucked because I was exhausted and really needed it, & wanted to enjoy my morning cup of coffee, which I didn’t even finish. On our 2nd day I asked the very helpful & very pleasant woman who worked in the breakfast area why the coffee seemed like it was hot water with a light coffee flavor, & she said whoever made it must have put the wrong amount of coffee in the maker, & she immediately tried re-making the very watered down coffee that was available (I also overheard other guests asking her for better coffee too) & then when the new coffee was made, it was much too dark/strong, but better than the previous batch, but still the creamer & sweetener didn’t completely work to make it as enjoyable as I’d hoped for. Honestly, it was still highly disappointing for the all important morning cup of coffee. The stars of the breakfast here were the waffles, pancakes, & fresh fruit flavored ice cold water options. The hotel is conveniently situated near a ton of new stores, & a mix of fast food restaurants & chain restaurants too. There’s a Wegman’s grocery store, Target, Walmart, Chick-Fil-A, a Longhorn steak house, & more, just a short 5...

Stayed here Friday night April 5th with my wife and two kids. Had a king suite. Room 235.

Check in was slow and clumsy. Soon as we got off the elevator on the second floor we were hit with an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Walking to our room we ran into several house keeping employees who we also heard discussing the smoke smell. Keep in mind the entire facility is non smoking.

Got to the room and was hit with an overwhelming smell of febreeze. Room seemed to be decently clean. Can tell they used relatively cheap furniture/fixtures for a hotel that's so brand new.

After about 15 minutes in the room my eyes started getting itchy and irritated. I do have allergic reaction to Cats and some dog dander but wasn't sure if it was whatever they sprayed in the room or animals. Luckily for us we only spent about an hour in the room that night before we went to bed.

Went to dinner later that night and took the kids to the pool. Pool is small and was not heated. Very cold for a mid 50s day. The towels they offered at the pool were the size of hand towels for most adults and were scratchy and seemed like they bad been washed a thousand times.

Ended up attempting to go to bed later that might but spent most of the night tossing and turning due to whatever residuals were in the room that were making my eyes swollen and nose stuffy.

Went downstairs in the morning to scope out the breakfast buffett and most of the buffett had already been eaten. Popped out to dunkin donuts as a last resort and by the time i came back more food had been placed at the buffett. Overall the buffett was probably the saving grace of the entire trip.

For a Hilton property I really expected more overall. If you have any allergies to dogs or cats I'd stay far away from here. They've obviously not cleaning the rooms as well as they should and just masking it...
